Fallout New Vegas Trailer Soundtrack Exercise 002

Middle age and board games were some of the references used on this work. Kingdom War of Conquest Original Soundtrack has a side narrative that tries to bring a specific mood into the gameplay.

The first track, Kingdom, the main theme music, is also a user interface background. While it brings the game theme into the foreground, also sounds as a relaxing menu music.

The gameplay tracks, Morning, Working, Sunday and Shiu has a side narrative intention apart from being also a background music that will fill the empty space and will help the player to focus on the game tasks.

Uma música de 1 minuto feita em cerca de 3h. Uma "música de jam" que eu fiz em uma madrugada para poder integrar à um dos games do GDPack, um conjunto de games feito pelo pessoal da GDP da UFRJ. Minha única referência foram alguns vídeos de musica oriental que eram totalmente fora da minha zona de conforto. Eu nem vi o jogo funcionando: trabalhei apenas com a temática em algumas referências e com o tempo de 1min que seria cravado nas partidas do game.

GDPack #1 - Samurais

Something I did to practice composition using vertical layers. Those layers are add and removed to change the way the music intends it's mood. This version is scripted but I'll bring the fragments ideas to some middleware so it can work dynamically as well. 

The scene is a tension that never stop growing regardless the mood changes. The scripted version works with crescendos.

Running

I did this work to practice soundtrack. It was originally to fit one of Assetto Corsa opening cinematics (see link below). As I was still learning at that time, some frames didn't match the music metric and rhythm. The song was so interesting though that I had to comeback for it. I was playing with the amazing Minit Bit plugin and this just came out. It was not supposed to be something more than a having fun thing, but Bach is amazing even when it's not supposed to be seriuos. This one is a variation from the BWV999 prelude.

This is a just having fun composition. Not related to any project. I was just practicing and having fun, then this came out. It's heavily inspired on old school JRPG battle themes - Final Fantasy mostly - but not trying on being retro in any way. Not designed to fit any specific aesthetic also. Hope you enjoy!
