Latmun links up with Ben Sterling and Iglesias on Hottrax for ‘Just Like | Sides’.

A resident for Jamie Jones’ renowned Paradise parties with releases on Hot Creations, Mindshake, Repopulate Mars and Sola, Latmun continues to thrive as one of the most in-demand talents around. Uniting with Planet X boss Ben Sterling and Beatport favourite Iglesias, March sees the UK trio step out on Hottrax to serve up two groove-laden, collaborative cuts for ‘Just Like | Sides’.

Pumping basslines and rolling drums propel Latmun and Sterling’s ‘Just Like’, as warped synth breakdowns and twisted vocals go hand in hand, before combining with Iglesias to offer up tumbling percussion, fibrous basslines and snappy samples across dancefloor workout ‘Sides’.

As summer hits full swing, it makes perfect sense for the accomplished AVOTRE label to offer up some sizzling Ibiza anthems. As such, label boss Santé teams up with musical sparring partner Sidney to present From the Terrace to the Warehouse: Ibiza Heat, a compilation that pulls together seven new tracks of sun kissed dynamite that will soundtrack your every move this summer.
Both Santé & Sidney feature with a brace of killer cuts of their own. Sidney comes correct with ‘Basement Tales’, a tough, jacking track that is physical and irresistibly groovy. Meanwhile, Santé offers ‘Acid Rain’, which is another pure house bomb with rubbery kicks and lots of great synth work as well as that classic squelchy sound we all love.
The rest of the compilation pulls together a clutch of new producer talents that haven’t released on the label before, but each one fits in perfectly with the no nonsense MO of the label to date.
Along the way, the likes of classic house producer Montel offers ‘Body Music,’ which is a physical house cut with thudding kicks and groove laden percussion. Mennie keeps it deep and old school flavoured with the slow jack of ‘Organica’ and Locklead offers up a whacked out, sketchy and playful track that is all lo fi and grainy, bumpy and raw.
Kuo Climax’s ‘Breakdown’ is a high pressure, high impact track with alien synths, sic fi sounds and massive, barreling drums that thud with a real sense of presence. Last but not least Ale Castro’s ‘Schubkraft’ keeps things decidedly deep and retro with hubby basslines, airy hi hats and big splashes of cymbal all riding next to a wub-wub bassline that will sends hands in the air.
This is a brilliantly varied compilation of cuts that both DJs and dancers are sure to love this summer. As ever, AVOTRE has pulled together the finest talents of the day and got the very best out of them.

2019 was a big year for Demetrius with the successful release of his debut “Black Diamonds” EP,
several new singles and a remix by Joyce Muniz. Now comes another brilliant remix of the title
track, “Black Diamonds”, from Berlin-based producer, Tony Casanova. It is a dark take on the
original with Demetrius’ melancholic vocals rising over the driving house beat and melodic synth
lines tying everything together.
About Tony Casanova:
It’s probably trippy disco. Or is it just the socialization of which the artistic work of Tony Casanova
derives from? Or might it be the clue, that the world is just flat after all? Identifying genres is so
70s, 80s, 90s. Let's rather call it a profound sentiment which Tony creates in his DJ and live sets.
He thereby skillfully opens gates to supernatural sceneries and invites everyone to follow him on
this journey. Based in the “Station Endlos Crew”, the Berlin artist personalizes his very own way of
music life.
About Demetrius:
Originally from New York, Demetrius’s repertoire serves up a soulful, retro take on electronica that
perfectly marries his past and present. Reflecting the electronic mecca of his current hometown
Berlin, as well as his Trinidadian roots with occasional subtle Caribbean inflexions, his material
ranges from melancholic, introspective electronic pop to dramatic synth-driven house through to
mystical, progressive house-meets-techno sounds. He has performed in everything from bands to
operas, choirs and musicals as well as ghostwriting for others. He has also sung backup vocals
for both Elton John and Alicia Keys, and performed and released for years as lead singer of
electronic/alternative band Suntalk — recording at the legendary Electric Ladyland Studios in the
process.

'The 177th release of the label is proof tech-house is shifting into exciting new territory.  The collab between homegrown Miguel Lobo and Serbian Mene is testament to that, a fresh but powerful, dance-floor oriented release with a touch of class. 'Work That' and 'Back Seat' is original stuff, add in a remix from label boss’ De la Swing together with Rendher this has the makings of a 2020 hit release.'
