I can’t believe it’s time. This has been my lovechild for the past almost two years. I’ve had the idea for One Piece since before the original Romance Dawn was completed and there was even a point where I didn’t know if it’d even get released with the timing of everything; but God had other plans.

Producing, mixing, and mastering all of my own music helps in so many ways. It allows me to grow artistically, learning the mechanics of soundscape - in turn improving my ear and allowing me to more accurately represent the sound that I’m looking for to my listeners. I’m steadily growing, evolving, and adapting w/ everything from my engineering, to my production, to my lyrics and melodies; becoming a student of the game which I hope will allow me the longevity (and timelessness) of an artist like Andre’ 3000 or Prince. This devotion to the art is as equally time consuming as it is worth it.

If Romance Dawn 1 & 2 are played consecutively with all skits (excluding the bonus track), there’s a story of humble beginnings with friends, betrayal, lost loved ones, rising/falling, and growth - for anyone who listens closely enough to follow all the entendres. While Romance Dawn 1 just gave a sample-sized blueprint, One Piece feels like the laying of a foundation upon which a career will be realized.

I pray this could be as impactful as Comeback Season was for Drake, Kush & OJ was for Wiz, or how Nostalgia/Ultra was for Frank Ocean. Myself, along with my management team have put in the hours. I’m hopeful that this music can touch enough listeners, within their core. And change our lives.

Soon after, Wildfire underwent a significant transformation, embracing his faith in God as the central theme of his artistry.
