I wrote this song just after my grandmother on my Mom's side passed away.

The song is about a time where I was observing someone who had been a huge part of my life, leave on a soul level.

It then lead me to think of how we all inevitably leave this earth and on a much simpler level we leave places, people, things and habits behind all the time.

This song is about how life changes as we move through it at different stages and it sheds light into my feelings while growing up and how I've left certain phases of life behind like the soul that leaves the earth and transcends its current situation.

Will Willens (born 1990 in Sioux City Iowa) is an American singer songwriter and musician.

His early influence came from his mother who played Bluegrass herself as well as well as wrote stories and songs. Growing up Will's Mom regularly played the classics of Country and Rock with his favorites being Elvis and Johnny Cash. While in his early years the family relocated to South Florida where Will was introduced to skateboarding, surfing and that is also where he first heard Reggae and Rap as well as American Rock such as Stone Temple Pilots, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Jane’s Addiction.
