he wants to let the world die
put himself on a space ship
he gets that gleam in his eye
says we just gotta face it

his god is the dollar
he thinks he'll be chosen
one of the fortunate few
while we're burned or frozen

recklessly righteous
in his foolish facade
calling the devil
and asking for god

sadly mistaken
and slowly he drowns
and with him we go
like a jewel in his crown
