“Miles Gone By” is the new CD by Wilson Clare, from Calgary, Alberta. Produced by Phil Krawczuk, who also plays drums, it was recorded at West Creek Studios and Emerald Ridge Studios. Mastering by David Horrocks at Infinite Wave Mastering.


I try to focus on strong and meaningful lyrics in mainstream/popular styles that have diverse applications such as radio, advertising, TV and movies. I went to music college (MRU), majored in jazz and classical performance, and studied composition and arranging. I went to MRU after having spent 5 years on the road playing 6 nights a week in all the best rooms in western Canada, followed by 3 years playing arenas with recording acts and playing with diverse acts such as Axford (Warner development deal), Robert Burton (Warner), and Adventures in Paradise (Polygram). I have also opened shows/toured with such acts as James Cotton (Muddy Waters), Colin James, Harlequin, Streetheart, Jann Arden and many others. I have won several Honorable Mention” awards in various songwriting contests, for what that is worth...

Currently, I play all the instruments (except drums) and Scott Clare, a world class multi-octave singer adds his incredible voice to these songs. Among Scott’s fans are Michael McDonald (Doobie Brothers/solo). Scott and I play (at least we used to play, before the current situation) together in Doctor Zeuss and the Blue Whos, a 7 piece powerhouse R&B horn band that has been very prominent in Alberta’s corporate and club scene for 30 years. Phil Krawczuk, who has toured extensively worldwide with many blues acts such as Pat Savage, Earth Kings and Bill Durst, plays drums as well as produced and co-engineered this CD. Phil, Scott and myself played together in arena band Axford back in the day and this is our first reunion of all 3 of us since then.
