Forest Lodge Locked In 001 - (Sheeeen and Ed)

After some of my favourite DJs released mixes that highlighted how they got into electronic music, I decided to do something similar. In the early 2000s I started to look for something other than rocky guitars and alternative bands and stumbled across NZ Dub music and Drum and Bass. It would be fair to say that my current musical tastes and life in general are heavily influenced by those early days. It will be fairly obvious from the mix that my love of impactful vocals and beautiful melodies started with the tunes I listened to back then and continue to this day.

It wasn’t an easy project as there were many tunes that I love that I had to leave out, but I think the end result is a showcase of why I love the music that I do. It will obviously have melodies, vocals and D&B. It will also sometimes be euphoric, dreamy and full of energy. There will be tunes you have never heard before and some you have, but they are all awesome in my opinion. I have not done much proper mixing here so most of the tracks are in all their glory. I hope you like it and please let me know if you do (or don’t).
