Weeping Willow

Edge of the Wild

Wind of Change was a three piece band formed in the mid eighties around the revival in progressive rock, that saw bands emerge like Marillion , Pendragon and IQ.
Although being motivated by the new movement, we drew most of our inspiration from classic 70's progressive rock bands like Genesis and Yes.
These demo recordings were made in a studio near Coverack on the Lizard Peninsula in Cornwall, using analog recording equipment.
They were originally mastered to cassette tape hence the clicks, flutter and drift in the stereo field in these recordings - the clicks at the beginning of 'Weeping Willow' were due to the guitarists finger joints!

We worked together in our own studio in Cornwall, played locally and were also interviewed by Polydor Records.
Although being encouraged to start performing in London by Polydor we eventually decided after 2-3 years to move on to other areas.
