Atmospheric rock band Windbird was formed in Southern Finland in 2014. Windbird’s music is rooted on post-rock and progressive rock grounds. Combination of melancholic yet expressive melodies, distorted guitars and lush keyboards together form a Northern soundscape of Windbird. Complementing the minimalistic music-inspired arrangements with limpid, almost classical vocals and surrealist lyrics, the whole composition is often described as cinematic.
