Windmill Project is born with the intention of operating within rock music, trying to gradually introduce new solutions. The first choice is to abandon the classic structure strophe-refrain: songs are stories, which have to be told from the beginning to the end without repetitions. Melody is fundamental to provoke emotions in the listener and must keep a romantic impetus, alternating different moods and avoiding to be mellifluous. While exploring the wide spectrum of sounds available for guitar and bass, the reassuring presence of pianoforte acts as a guide and interpreter. There is no room for the superfluous: with few notes at the right place a world can be created, but one more in excess can lead it to destruction. Let us avoid the exasperation of the technique related to the speed, caring instead for the sound, to be savoured with no hurry, preferring, in case, the pauses.
