A performance of the Stranglers track "Down In The Sewer" at Islington Academy in 2005 for the Hugh Cornwell "People Place Pieces"* live album.  This version takes the original version into some new territory and was a blast to co-create.

Down In The Sewer

This is a live interpretation of the Jimi Hendrix song "Machine Gun" that I did with some dear friends when we recreated the Jimi Hendrix album "Band of Gypsys" live with a six-piece gospel choir in Bradford on Avon, UK, in 2013.

This structure of this version was arranged by guitarist/vocalist Chris Goulstone to include Eastern textures and some contemporary musical sensations a la Rammstein.

Machine Gun (Jimi Hendrix cover)

This compilation includes me drumming on some Genesis songs with Genesis tribute act Genesis Visible Touch. I called this the longs reel as it features selections from some of Genesis' longer songs, and it's also around ten minutes in length. I hope you enjoy this! :)

Here's a track that I recorded in 2006 when I drummed with rock band PurpleMelon. In addition to the PurpleMelon band members at the time (Tom Hill, Eric Joyce, Owen Barry and I) this track features Bill Wyman's horn section and was mixed by Brian Tench (Kate Bush, Tina Turner and more). xWx

Mister Dreamer

Here's a track from a performance during the Dr. John Cooper Clark and Hugh Cornwell "This Time It's Personal" tour which I drummed on. This was recorded at the O2 Ritz in Manchester on Dec 3, 2016. 

After the main set, we played a series of encores beginning with a Hugh Cornwell trio performance that included this song*. It was fun to experiment with the drum fills in this song and I enjoyed how in addition to the ideas that I worked out, new ones spontaneously flowed through in the moment during the solo sections. This version was a fun rendition to play!

Hugh Cornwell - Stuck In Daily Mail Land (live at the O2 Ritz)

This is a track I drummed on during the Dr. John Cooper Clarke​ and Hugh Cornwell​ "This Time It's Personal" tour in 2016. After performing the TTIP album in its entirety each night, we played a selection of encores including this song. 

This performance of "I Wanna Be Yours" from the final night of the tour is a la the original version of the song which the Arctic Monkeys​ covered that subsequently brought them and John to the top of the album charts in 2014.

Genesis Visible Touch - "Behind The Lines" (Live in Chester 2017)

This is a live performance of the Stranglers cover of the Burt Bacharach classic "Walk On By" that was performed live on the Dr. John Cooper Clarke and Hugh Cornwell UK Tour in 2016 in support of their "This Time It's Personal" album. 

The Stranglers' version of "Walk On By" is regarded of one of the best cover versions by any act of any song and though I have played this song with Hugh Cornwell many times in various line-ups, the HC/JCC tour was the first time I had played this song with keyboards present, which to me is an integral part of the Stranglers' version of this sounding as beautiful as it does. 

After the main JCC/HC set, the Hugh Cornwell band returned to the stage and began the show's encore set, which included this song. This particular version of "Walk On By" was recorded during the last night of the tour at the Glasgow O2 ABC and was one of the highlights of the tour for me.

Here's a track from the recently-released - at time of writing - Live Original Cast Recording of Fairyland the Musical, written by my friend Peter Frow. This medley is a taster of the musical as a whole and a few of the 37 tracks on this album, which I recorded the drum tracks for (the majority of which being first takes) during a fun mammoth day at Masterlink Productions, one my favourite recording studios in Surrey.

Fairyland the Musical - Medley (Live)

A live version of the track "Wired" by Hugh Cornwell and "Robert Williams, originally from the 1979 album "Nosferatu." This rendition was from a gig I played with Hugh in Surrey at an Academy of Contemporary Music student graduation ceremony which the Mayor of Guildford happened to attend. This is rather quirky and full of energy and was lots of fun to create. That night we all played some punk, shook the major's hand and then got drunk. Such edgy, joyous fun!  xWx

Stuck Inside of Mobile with the Memphis Blues Again (Bob Dylan cover with Hugh Cornwell)

This is a rock and roll track I drummed on in 2011. The other parts were created and performed by British session musician Paul Martinez whose list of musical credits includes work with Led Zeppelin (Paul played bass with them at Live Aid), Robert Plant, George Harrison, Dave Edmunds, and Peter Gabriel. We recorded this at the renowned Rockfield Studios, the first residential recording studio in the world.
