Sasha's superb remix of alternative indie artist SYML's critically acclaimed single 'The Bird' is out now on Nettwerk

After Sasha's successful collaboration with Kölsch 'The Lights' this year, his remix of 'The Bird' gives the track new wings through a compelling bassline and bubbling staccato percussion, complementing the original haunting vocals and poignant guitar. 

‘When SYML approached me to remix ‘The Bird’, I couldn’t wait to get in the studio’ Sasha says. ‘The original has beautiful ethereal melodies, and incredible vocals, so there were amazing parts to work with. I just had to get the beats right and I’m really happy with how it turned out.’

Always innovative, Sasha is no stranger to reinterpreting music outside the electronic genres. Fans of his audaciously assured reworks of Rüfüs Du Sol's 'Innerbloom' and Klangstof's 'Hostage' will be thrilled with this new offering.

The original release from Seattle-based artist and producer SYML (aka Brian Fennell) was one of the 'Best 11 New Songs We Heard in February (2019)' by NPR: 'takes him to glitchier and more soaring terrain, like some sort of gorgeous pastiche of Hozier and Sigur Rós.'
