The Winnipeg Boyz, a duo that provides listeners with music and lyrics as raw and visceral as the city that gave them their name. The duo is comprised of two emcees, Jon-C & Charlie Fettah. Before forming the partnership that is the Winnipeg Boyz, the two were co-founders of the western Canadian super group Winnipeg’s Most. The group toured successfully, won 9 APCMA Awards* (Aboriginal Peoples Choice Awards), and were featured in the CBC documentary The 8th Fire. All of this within a two year span. 

The Winnipeg Boyz released their debut album Ab Initio on November 5th 2013. It immediately climbed to #12 on iTunes top hip-hop chart. Incredible considering their competition were artists such as Eminem, Kanye West and Drake.  The boyz have developed their fan base and consistently supplied them with raw, hard-hitting lyrics, combined with top-notch production. The beats for Ab Initio were provided by Juno nominated producers, Stomp and Boogey the Beat as well as 2oolman.

The Winnipeg Boyz’ music is a reflection of their cumulative life experiences, and with one listen to Ab Initio you will understand who the Winnipeg Boyz truly are; gritty and unapologetic.
