Expectations (2018) oscillates between different moods in a sporadic, often violent fashion, to reflect the havoc that anticipating the future in either a positive or negative light can have on a person's psyche.  This theme is reinforced by playing with listener's expectations, attempting to straddle a realm between melodic and harmonic predictability and unpredictability. Premiered in 2017, Matsumoto is an original wind ensemble composition meant to evoke a wide range experiences I had studying abroad in Matsumoto, Japan in 2014 and 2015.
