Last Days Here

Where once a vivid light shown so bright 
only darkness now remains 

Dusk fell so quickly, 
And smothered last heavenly breaths 

Night in it's ever bleeding darkness 
serves only as a haunted door 

To doomed dreams of torturous joy 
Fleeting days long since gone


Nightfall

This vestige of meat blood and bone
Has been emptied of light
A shattered reflection of what once was

Sing of loftiness and hope
Caressed on the wings of serenity
Before eternal rot claims what is owed
