Sunday evening in a club in Berlin – In advance I wasn't sure what genres and mood I would like to play. In the end, the set covered a wide range of moods and phases, which I also went through while playing.

At the beginning of the set I played some records that have been on my shelf for quite some time and that I haven't played for a while. This is followed by some housy and more technoid rediscoveries from my collection and a few of my current favourite bass, electro and breaks tracks. In between, of course, I've also played some great tracks that I've only recently discovered.

Since Julius aka Sova moved into the Palais Palett / Objekt klein a cultural ‚WG‘, he‘s deepened the musical identity of the place by several deptitudes with his stylistic confidence and musical sensitivity. That is also what defines this mix, a continues stream of on point drums and groovy baselines ending in jazzed out house bliss. Is it 7am or 7pm, the sun rising or setting? No one knows, no one cares. And as you sip from your Beauty-Sekt and tap your feet onto the wooden palettes, gazing over the top of your lowered sunglasses, you say to your friends „mhh yeah this is nice“.

Seit Julius aka Sova in die Palais Palett / Objekt klein a Kultur-WG eingezogen ist, vertieft er die musikalische Identität des Ortes mit Stilsicherheit und musikalischem Feingefühl um einige Deepness-Grade. Stilsicherheit und Feingefühl sind auch das, was diesen Mix ausmacht: ein kontinuierlicher Strom von rhythmischen Drums und groovigen Baselines, der in verjazztem House-Bliss endet. Ist es 7 Uhr morgens oder 19 Uhr abends, geht die Sonne auf oder unter? Niemand weiß es, niemanden kümmert es. This time, the talented @toni-pfad leads us into an hour-long prog house whirlwind, where reverberating arpeggios and bubbly basslines await you! We absolutely love this acidic bubble bath, packed with fresh jams and timeless gems.

Toni is a Berlin-based DJ and friend of ours. She is part of the Jena-based @biotobt collective and has yearlong experience in both organizing and playing parties. While her Rosa Brisante mix ideates around the sound we arguably embrace the most, her selections can usually be characterized as genre-fluid, oscillating between electro, jungle, progressive house, trance, and techno.

SAM started stepping out of the shadows rather recently. With monthly guests on her “Whatever Floats Your Boat” show on Callshop Radio she has been introducing a musical vision since the beginning of the last year and also showed the more floor oriented side of that vision with her booking for the “II. Reihe sleepless” stage at Tarmac Festival. In her own sets the Leipzig-based DJ carefully brings together a wide range of laid back styles from different electronica and lately she’s been focussing on house music more than before.
