A HEARTWARMING SURPRISE! Ana Ros, frequent Kompoz collaborator, surprised us by inviting 4 brilliant vocalists to sing my lyric along with her to Scott Wisenbaker's lovely musical composition, and Moe Howard and Du Brae added their phenomenal talents. Thank you to Ana, Martin, Stef, Whit, and Mart for their gorgeous vocals, Moe his beautiful keys, and Du Brae for blending these wonderful talents. I must say, it was an amazing feeling hearing those five great voices sing my words.

The Feeling

The shortest "song" I ever wrote, about the inability to write an actual song. So it's more of a sung reflection on songwriting struggles really than a song, but there you go! :)

No song without a crisis
It’s the only way I know
I’m tortured by my own devices
As I watch frustration grow
Sleep deprivation is the price 
As inspiration fails to show
While I can’t move my weary eyes
Off the blank screen and let it go
It’s pathetic I’m an addict 
Without highs between the lows
The only hope is that inside my head,
As I give up and go to bed
the sorry seed of a new song starts to grow…
Tomorrow’s me will know.
