Sparrow & Barbossa’s long-awaited debut on Madorasindahouse Records is finally here! The duo that has been making the waves in the afro scene for the past months, is collaborating with their fellow Spanish La Santa, and deliver a ready-for-the-club tune, that combines their distinct Latin-infused samples with an invigorating kick and heavy percussion.

Completing the EP, Megablast and Fka Mash deliver their own interpretations of the song, each with their own unique style. Megablast strips it down to the essentials, making a mixture of organic elements and bleeps while keeping the groove to high levels. Fka Mash on the flip, takes the pitch down and adds a resonating melodic synth with a heavy bassline, transforming the track to a slow-burning stomper, offering a different option for each taste.

Our 29th Chapter showcases the versatile talents of British artist JOBE with the heavy-hitting ‘Changes’ EP.

JOBE - previously responsible for one of Chapter 24’s biggest-selling tracks ‘Aurora’ - has released as widely as Akbal Music, Connaisseur and Steyoyoke. On this occasion, he serves up a balanced four-tracker combining cosmic, afro and techno influences.

‘Rafari’ is the opener. Marked by characterful sound design and swirling disembodied tribal voices creating a strong sense of disorientation, the track is held together by the hefty and assured drive of the main groove.

‘Anomaly’ showcases a more considered side to JOBE’s production and marks a shift of emphasis to harmony and composition, as layers of synths swell skywards before their satisfying return to earth.

Meanwhile, ‘Boma’ is a return to the tense, cosmic afro drive that is bound to set dancefloors aflame, before title track ‘Changes’ rounds things off with a powerful slab of progressive techno.

Four stories in sound that demonstrate JOBE as being totally unconcerned with the constraints of genre, and entirely fixated on creating music that is both timeless and forward-thinking.

Juanito lives under the sun of Barcelona. And this isn’t to tan his skin or drink fresh mojitos, but to produce big edgy dancefloor weapons. Regular on Beatport charts, Traxsource or Either digital shops, the young talent since 2016 one of the most seeked electronic artists of the Tech-House scene, approached by the biggest labels of the Electronic industry. 

In 2017, he finally decides to enter Voyeur, with a first buzzin’ project named “Tamborero”, and appeared on the Voyeur Ibiza 2017 various artists album. The track, and the Ibiza album will sit on the Spotify Top 50 / Dance charts for 3 months, and gets the interrest of renowed artists from the white isle.  

The track, already supported by Reboot, Nicole Moudaber, Jean Claude Ades or Felix Da Housecat, will now goes on a first EP project on the label, with other tracks and alternative versions reworked under the hands of Martijn Ten Velden or The Clark Kents. Now Regular official Dj of the Voyeur Label nights, the young talent also appears at Pacha Barcelona along Joris Voorn, Kolsh or Uner during Sonar 2018, and lately with Elrow artists in London.

Some say Tamborero could be one of the biggest summer tracks of 2018, it’s now time to pick up your taste and play it loud !

Russian brothers Sasha and Sergey Lipsky return to Disco Halal for the third time under their famed Simple Symmetry project. Following off the back of Auntie Flo’s ‘Kabsa’, the duo’s ‘Gilgamesh’ EP is the fourth release for the label this year and continues to build upon Disco Halal’s successful trajectory.

The ‘Gilgamesh’ EP draws inspiration from the epic novel of the same name, the oldest story known to man. Leading with the title track, Simple Symmetry teams up with Mexican producer Inigo Vontier for a signature Shamanic chugger whilst one of their solo efforts ‘Fight’ is a string-heavy, psychedelic soundscape. Named after Gilgamesh’s faithful sidekick, ‘Enkidu’ continues this kaleidoscopic theme with Krautrock influences with Adam Port’s ‘Tulum By Night’ contrasting edit turns the record into a big room melody. The remix has already been heavily supported by Moscoman, Keinemusik, Âme and Dixon.

Based in Berlin, but firmly rooted in the diverse and forward-facing musical scene of Tel Aviv, Moscoman’s Disco Halal label hails from beneath the minarets of the Holy Land. The imprint exists to present a tight-knit and growing community of musicians and producers, each transmitting their unique musical identity, yet each united by a unique sensibility, as well as a harmonious balance of rhythm and experimentation.

Encompassing elements of downtempo, new-wave and alternative pop, stitched together with a leftfield dancefloor throb, Disco Halal’s back-catalogue, filled with efforts from the likes of Simple Symmetry, The Organism and Moscoman himself, has seen the imprint rapidly emerging from the once-overlooked nightlife and club scene of Tel Aviv into the worldwide spectrum.

'Alkebulan' by Ant LaRock & Roland Clark gets the remix treatment from David Mayer. David Mayer’s remix takes inspiration from the African vocal and injects it into the rhythm section, with off-beat snare hits driving the track forward as shakers stutter away. A huge, soaring breakdown is decked out with synth beauty that spills over into the drop but is wisely restrained from anything too overblown. Well-positioned FX whirrs and spins around your head while the lead riff pans around in similarly dizzying fashion.
Todd Terry protégé Ant LaRock has provided some gems for Exploited previously in the form of ‘Grown Ups’ and ‘When’, and this latest effort with house legend Roland Clark on vocals could be his strongest effort to date.

Following up to the “sampler” series, this time Madorasindahouse delivers this 4-tracker by atsou. Handpicked selections by close friends and newcomers to the label, this EP showcases the deep and afro-inspired sounds that can make a dancefloor groove to the MIDH vibe.

First up, atsou’s collaboration with the Moroccan icon Amine K, features the vocals of the lively Lemonia Beza, winner of the “Voice of Greece 2018”, who revive an old greek track to “Felice”.

Clemente joins the Madorasindahouse Records roster, with “Here & Now”, an ode to summers gone and summers to come, dancing while the sun rises.

Filippos, the upcoming greek talent, follows up to his success with last year’s “Kairetu”, with his collaboration with the South african spoken-word artist Black Soda, and delivers the afro-tech stomper “Simera”, ready for the peak time moments of the future parties.

Last but definitely not least, is the legendary Myconian figure, resident of “Astra” and “Void”, Dj Pappa, on one of his rare production appearances. We definitely hope we get to listen more of the “Morning Star” vibes!
