Continuing Déepalma Records' post-summer releases, Ucha and Darksidevinyl stake their claim with an incredible three-track offering - Tijuana EP.

Opening the release, ‘Tijuana’ is a positively addictive blend of Afro-House flavours. Its driving drums and late-night energy are complemented by layers of soulful melodies, prompting an unavoidable and primal urge to move your body.

‘El Hambre’ comes next, with darker tones and an enchanting aura. More Afro influence collides with a striking melodic techno format, bringing intrinsic grooves to match its breathtaking transitional segments - laden with gripping synth lines and climactic crescendos.

‘Kumaya’ then completes the EP with yet more awe-inspiring melodic focus. It’s celestial energy combines with sturdy drum work and swaying grooves as the track progressively develops, adding more and more anticipation and emotion via layers of intricate synths, pads and strings.

After their success together, with the excellent EP 'Amigdala EP ' released last year on My Other Side of The Moon, Animalic Drum and the Kreative Nativez are back together with an explosive, rhythmic afro house release: 'Shalimar'. The track features Zambian artist James Sakala, as well as Lu Lu (ZM) and is supported by two top remixes by Dr Feel and Bebo. The original track has smooth and sweet melodies, accompanied by the pleasing voice of the singer, and evolves into more afro-rhythms and ululates. Dr Feel offers charming harmonies, gentle piano chords, and dreamy atmospheres which adorn the beauty of this track. Bebo Remix introduces a strong synth and maintains the dynamism through an evolving bass-line and courageous drums. The package is completed by the radio edit, and is definitely a must have release!

On his upcoming "Somoya" EP, Scopelyser chronicles his pilgrimage into his ancestral roots. Inspired by journeys through byways and marrows of India, Algeria and cities within the Mother Continent, the Tel Aviv-based dj/producer yields five tracks that capture the enigma of place and his profound affinity with the land. "Somoya" starts off with the title track, a symphony of nature's sounds, visceral rhythms and esoteric electronic sonances. Up next, "Durya" treads through celestial progressions and a meditative groove, illuminating the infinite trajectory of the stars. "Zamaye" brings in elegant wind and strings to create gust patterns and august resonance for fluid introspection. Harmonizing vegetal percussion, propulsive cadences and dewy undulations, "Barnaba" evokes a nostalgic petrichor for a remarkable dancefloor moment. "Aman Aman" wraps up the EP, unwinding ethnic instrumentals and ethereal melodies. A transient finale that vibrates the pulse of perpetual rebirth, Somoya ends and begins with the discovery of a spirit that dwells within.

The whole is greater than the sum of its parts – a proverb which definitely holds true for this colourful and energetic EP, coming straight from the island of Lamu, Kenya. Recorded during the pandemic in 2021 at the iconic Lamu House, this record brilliantly reveals how music can transcend borders between cultures, genres and even musical epochs. At its core lies Taarab music native to the Swahili coast, which in itself is a heritage from times when the area was under Omani protectorate. An Noor is a Taarab band from Lamu who root in tradition and bring the past into the present: Their Tabla drums remind us of days where Arabic influences were formative, their mesmerizing vocals tell stories of love and pain, as relevant today as they were then. Their sound is complimented by Makadem, composer and player of traditional Kenyan instruments such as the Nyatiti harp. Makadem himself is no stranger to fusing ancient and modern musical schools and has reached international recognition for his crossover arrangements. On Into Taarab, producers Max Doblhoff and Sidney Simila (Clubcruise Music, Music From East Africa) frame the magic of these Lamu sessions in club-friendly edits, dreamy and driving, and always carrying the Clubcruise signature sound that feeds both body and soul.

"Saba Bo" refers to the Tom Tom, which was traditionally used in East Africa, which was once used for news transmission and mainly as a warning drum!

Around the same time with the album release of Max Doblhoff's "Africa La", the third single release named "Saba Bo" will be released.
The original track has a strong rhythmic imprint, dominated by the two instruments Tom Tom and Kora - the later almost virtuosic played by the great musician Baboulaye Cissokho, his character of Senegalese origin.
The typical African "Roots-Style", originally originated in Senegal, but developed in further adaptations to Kenyan stylistics.

The version with Idd Aziz is a fusion of funky elements, a subtle electro-disco touch, enriched with contemporary synth-chords.

Other remixes are from Makossa & Megablast and the Viennese newcomer Ksawa and will be completed soon after the single release in July 2017!!
