Prepare for an immersive sonic experience as Scottish techno DJ/producer CJW unveils his latest EP, Crates, on 28 August 2025 via Wirelab Records (WRLB057). This two-track release isnt just a collection of tunes; its a journey through meticulously crafted dub-infused soundscapes. CJW masterfully blends deep house, dub techno, and minimal elements, creating a hypnotic and emotive listening experience that nods to classic dub aesthetics while pushing into contemporary club territory. Opening cut 23rd Dub Preset sets a mesmerising tone with a deep, resonant bassline, tape-echo textures, and finely sculpted chord stabs drifting through the stereo field. The groove is understated yet relentless, its swing and percussive detail revealing CJWs evolved production prowess and ear for negative space. On the flip, Dub A Rub turns the screws with a more driving and tactile low end, layering saturated chords, rolling hats, and atmospheric swells that bloom and recede like smoke in a late-night room. The result is a focused, immersive trip designed for heads-down floors and long-form sets. Another wireLab release scheduled for the 29th of October. Proud to announce and welcome Scotland's very own Ben Techy.  The 19 year old from Dundee has dark humour and hatred for 'vinyl hipsters', both of which are evident in his music, and with a recent releases on Funghettocrew and Terminus Audio, we are loving the sounds. 
 Wirelab number 9 is Ben Techy. Dark Matter EP. The first of three originals kick off with 'Subterranean', which has a prevalent sinister vibe from the offset!  'Aphotic' is funkier in style but still relatively dark and driving and 'Dark Matter' certainly lives up to the name being the more relentless cut!   Label boss CJW takes up remix duties on 'Aphotic', and delivers another quirky yet charming reinterpretation that will work for the more diverse DJ!

I continue my ethos of supporting new and local talent and am delighted to be joined by Tom Livingston aka Arctor for my label’s 19th release.

Arctor is a very talented DJ/Producer living in Glasgow. Producing high tempo electro and techno with soulful Detroit-flavoured sounds. He has been steadily building his catalogue dating back to September 2015 with his first release Genovese EP. Since then he been releasing not only his own material but also remixing on a number of labels.

As well as producing quality techno, Arctor also heads up a residency at Glasgow based night Tremors.  Every Third Friday of every month in Flat 0/1, Bath Street he joins other resident Dennis Seltzer-Grant in the DJ Booth (plus the odd guest DJ or three) to smash out an eclectic mix of House, Techno, Disco and Electro. Previous guests have included: Animal Farm, Missing Persons Club, Max Spittal (Craigie Knowes), Nowicki (Renegades of Funk), Twonko Delerium (Lunacy), Billy Woods (Supermax) and Kyle Robertson (West End Communications).

The Nihilist Funk EP delivers of three new tracks by Arctor and a remix from myself. Flavours of techno grooves throughout and I hope you enjoy.

Glasgow based Wirelab Records proudly present their 22nd release and final release of 2018. Ending another successful year on a high they are delighted to welcome techno legend Funk D’Void to the label on remixing duties. 

For this release Label boss,  CJW, delivers his Arch Stanton EP. The title track itself is a synth-laden techno groove. With his self-confessed Detroit influences abundant throughout the hypnotic journey. 

Needing no introduction, Funk D’Void turns in a classic remix. Those familiar with his sound and style will be in awe at this deep interpretation of the original. The signature warm bass combined with the emotional strings provides that feel good moment  Funk D’Void consistently provides with his music. 

With the recent announcement of the first label night taking place in Glasgow in November 2018, this independent techno label continues to grow and evolve.
