Here Comes Calvin

I made this all tonight.  

For a couple weeks, something has been biting at me. Clawing its way to the surface. This is a release of that tension to a certain degree, but also an example of what I've been working on lately. The mix is still rough, lyrics are first draft, but I like what I have so far.

With A Burst (Rough Draft)

instead of writing an essay for my final in Verter's Blood Rites: Religion and Violence, i was allowed to compose a song. this 3 movement piece is intended to capture the journey of Ramnath, an Indian Aghori going through the days of silence and other steps on his path to holiness.

i tried to incorporate elements from traditional Indian music, including tabla and drone-like sounds, while incorporating my own style as well.

this was composed in a night using Ableton Live.
