my method for mixing is blending cassette tapes on two modified tape decks with added speed control (in the same way one would mix records). the advantage of tapes to me is that they are accessible to poor people like myself (tapes cost .20 cents each) and they can hold anything including music that i produce using modified 80s casio keyboards with gate circuits. also they are an analog technology that reacts immediately to your touch.
