Lonely? Drunk? Heartbroken? These are the themes addressed in the songs of WISEACRE, a band influenced in equal measure by the Carter Family, Sun Records artists, and a walk in the dangerous part of town past sundown. With three vocalists and three songwriters, WISEACRE flirts with traditional country waltzes, broken-hearted ballads, and rock-a-billy fueled romps. Their sound is neither derivative, nor disrespectful of tradition. Here is twang-noir for this rancorous and embittered new age.
