Surprise Shunting (2019)

Ahhh, time to crack out this one.

Soooo, I have been part of a 2 week Radio Production course at Reform Radio in Manchester and part of the course was to compose some music that is going to be played on radio. 

Obviously, you guys know I mainly do 'background music' but this time I was making the composition and it was lacking a vocal so I thought... Hey why don;t I do it? So this is me on the vocals going for a very old school R&B approach with the whole thing. Originally the style was supposed bu Thundercat but it turned 90's real quick. First time I've ever revealed my voice in this way lol.

What We Do

This song was produced as an homage to early 1980s Synth rock. Using sounds similar to Giorgio Moroder in 1983. Classic sounds and gear such as the Rockman Guitar processor,  Linndrum drum machine, Arp Odyssey, and Prophet 5 synthesizer. Rock chords, and an uptempo beat yields a sound reminiscent of the early 1980s synth rock.
