Demo:
I recorded this song in the black cabin in the woods.  The beats were inspired by a woodpecker that was pecking on the roof while I was writing. I used a woodblock sound to replicate it.  While the song is not about a woodpecker, the woodpecker became a metaphor for repeat offenses.

The title track of my upcoming release exploring intimacy and desire in the era of disassociation and disconnection, but you can dance to it.  In this song, sexy grinding bass alternates with levitating shimmering synths, replicating the push/pull of an ultimately doomed connection.  Lyrics are intimate, personal and yet universal.

This song follows a moth trapped in an apartment late at night searching for authenticity in artificial places-a metaphor for our own misguided longings as well as commentary on the way human creations cause harm.

Witch Cabin is the solo project of Brooklyn-born and San Francisco-raised artist Tracy Marcellino, a multidisciplinary creative whose music blends raw vocals, synth-driven arrangements, and brutally honest poetic lyricism. Named after the black cabin in the woods where she writes most of her material, Witch Cabin is both a physical space and a psychological one—introspective, charged, and emotionally off-center.

Raised on Thriller, Purple Rain, and vintage reggae, Tracy was a latchkey kid with a yellow Walkman and a rich interior landscape. She cut her teeth singing in underground cyphers, fronted bands for years, and eventually found her voice solo. Witch Cabin is where that voice lives now.

Her upcoming EP, We Want Connection, explores longing, avoidance, and the chaos of modern intimacy. It's a body of work that confronts the way we chase closeness while sabotaging it in real time. Anchored by minimal production and highly personal yet universal lyrics, the EP refuses traditional structure in favor of tension, repetition, and unraveling in the most gratifying ways.
