Witch?Crafter Puerto Córtes July OMNI Music Mix on OSSNL 105.3 FM Tulsa 7/17/22

Puerto Cortes, Honduras' Witch?Crafter conjures an unique ethereal mix of deep textures, trancelike samples, and crisp drums for the purpose of metaphysiclly lifting the individual and the dance floor to spaces where stars explode rhythmically. Known for his 2009 debut white label oc/cult sound excursion entitled Shades of Deception and a long stint as an underground hip-hop artist and professional shaman of some note under a different alias, W?C is back to contribute to the live cauldron of drum and bass. With a versatility ranging from liquid funk to darker jungle realms, Witch?Crafter owns an original "occultic" style of mixing and production sure to capture your attention.

Witch?Crafter: The Remixes showcases W?C giving his twist on a few of his personal favorites from 2016 and 2017, namely Emperor's "Allure," Larigold's "Don't Wanna Stay," and Calibre's "Give it Up." The Witch?Crafter touches Emperor's "Allure" (from his Inspected Allure EP of '16) up to twice the tempo of the original trip-hoppy/downtempo number. The gloom of the initial effort is kept, as W?C's intense and off-time stutter drums complement his subtle reworking of the "alluring" melody provided by Emperor. 

Larigold's "Don't Wanna Stay" (from Intrigue Records' Intrigue 14: The Anniversary Edition of '17), equipped with soothingly intense vocal lines and hypnotic drum programing, provides W?C with space to work a semi-minimal spell of a dubby synth and some sharp drums and breaks. The end result is a hard, smooth roller, able to rock any liquid radio mix or dancefloor. W?C also commissions LA drum and bass underground legend 6BLOCC/R.A.W for a rugged, unpolished, and warehouse-tested jungle mix of the same track.

Calibre's "Give it Up" (from the Signature Records' full-lenth album The Deep of 2017), is a slow jammy, melodic, feelgood amazing. So, of course, W?C has to speed things up a bit. Putting a dusty amen cut and other distorted programming to work under Calibre's atmosphere, he transforms this calm into a jungly aesthetic storm while retaining the integrity of the original smoothness of the notes as he rekeys them.
