Here's one of my new tracks that are featured on my collab album with @timeaway, portraying several of the ancient feline Gods of Egypt. Enjoy!

Bastet was worshipped in Bubastis in Lower Egypt, originally as a lioness goddess, a role shared by other deities such as Sekhmet. Eventually Bastet and Sekhmet were characterized as two aspects of the same goddess, with Sekhmet representing the powerful warrior and protector aspect and Bastet, who increasingly was depicted as a cat, representing a gentler aspect.

Plainmoor is an exploratory project concerned with decay and nostalgia. This unrestricted sonic palette blends organic instrumentation and non-musical objects to create a largely improvised array of cavernous vocals, field recording, brass, orchestration, and noise.

This early project, based in East London, is earning a reputation for unorthodox live performances. Audiences are met with a trio which manipulates an array of sounds and instruments into widescreen landscapes, terrifying dissonance, and nostalgic beauty. Each performance is largely improvised and utterly unique. 

In April 2024 Plainmoor observes the debut single Reduced to Rubble; an immersive and singular work that captures English decay in high definition terror, loss, and beauty. This work saw an early tape launch, inclusive of three bonus remixes from LAGGARD, G9 LUV, and Joshua Guy. Listeners heard the works early via Plainmoor's 'analogue streaming' (a dial-a-song phoneline which transmitted the music).

Plainmoor, named after the South Devon district, is the moniker of artist Daniel Lloyd. The project was born from his work with producer, musician, and collaborator Joshua Guy. The pair found inspiration during the scoring sessions for Leif Johnson's award winning feature 'Mr. Doom'. Lloyd and Guy developed an interest in free-form music, which resulted in hours of free-improvisational sessions. The result is a series of sonic vignettes and poignant melodic vocal flourishes.
