Lux Lisbon and friends got together to play (and make a recording) of the whole of "With The Beatles" - 50 years to the day that is was released on 22 November 1963, so 22 November 2013 - at the Betsey Trotwood Pub, Farringdon, London.

We in the band Lux Lisbon are massively geeky Beatles nuts. We do sad, sad things, like have all day pub crawls where the only rule is that you can only talk about Richard, Paul, John and the two Georges. On our merry way we visit places of such mundanity as, perhaps, an alley where the George Harrison ate half a ham and pickle sandwich in 1965, or a Starbucks on the site of a studio where a nameless non-Beatle did the recording of bongo overdubs on a 1969 b-side. You know, that sort of thing. Compared to that sort of behaviour, getting a few musical friends together to record and perform the entireity of 1963’s “With The Beatles” for its 50th birthday (to the very day no less), is in positively rude health. This is what this recording its. 

As it was live, not all the tracks were spectacular successes, and so have not made the recording, but they were all performed on the night. 

This as the finale of the night and everyone will be back to do it all again on 10th July 2014 to celebrate 50 years of 'A Hard Days Night'

The legendary BBC Radio 4 'Now Show' regular Mitch Benn joined Lux Lisbon on this at the very last moment, so this is the first and only performance. Mitch is currently touring his show "Mitch Benn is the 37th Beatle" and you can hear a half hour preview on the Iplayer here -
