MUD Review:
MUD058 sees the introduction of a brand new artist named, 'With Bear'. Josh brings a very industrial, chunky type of vibe with his productions and these 3 tracks are a perfect introduction for him on MUD. The EP is wrapped up by MUD regular Ammon-Ra in the only way he knows best by remixing the EP title track, Christian Devils.

We have come to expect a high degree of quality whenever a new Macabre Unit Digital drop happens to land in the store. We most certainly haven't been disappointed here as with BEAR joins the party for a four track womper. We begin with the swampy woodwind and squelching bass tones of 'Christian Devils', a proper raucous rattler, perfect for kick-starting the EP into action. From here, the shimmering percussive pressure and gnarly bass expanses of 'Before Humans' switches the feel of the EP, before the more spacious designs of 'The Creator' give us a look into the more delicate side of with BEAR's production arsenal. On remix duty Ammon-Ra gives 'Christian Devils' a dramatic overhaul, deploying a lethal synthesizer line atop some incredibly punchy drumwork to see us out in style.

With Bear’s debut release with Sonic Alchemy is a dive into the darker realms of tribal dubstep. With his roots digging deep into the earth, With Bear’s sound captures both the land and struggle of the first nations to keep harmony with the earth and her myriad of expressions in these times of great upheaval and change. Ask the Animals invites us into a subtle realm, one where the pain and torment of the land paints a warning for all those that dwell upon it. This sonic journey is a clarion call for those of us that put both past and future generations forefront in our decisions about how we decide to live, in harmony and respect with our environment.
