A song about transition and change. Things coming to an end and also starting again. This song was written about three yrs ago while driving on a very busy freeway. If I had known then what I know now perhaps things would be made different, or perhaps not. The celestial light always guiding the way home so that I may see. That being the moon. Only the belief in you. The eye so watchful, is the eye that guides you. Self aware and ever changing. The key, a means of entrance perhaps an escape is adaptation and of course the divine knowledge that you ARE. Say it! Say it aloud "I am, I am" and so it is. You ARE. There is no time for hesitation. You must believe in the power of Aseity. You exist because you needed to. You have to. You must. You ARE. I am, I am. And so forever and a day it seems it took for me to hand over this piece, this slice of peaks and valleys but here we ARE. These last few months I've spent obsessing, creating, loving, hating ,hurting, fucking smiling, laughing, crying flavors of soundscapes and honesty have certainly been a pleasure. And from the darkest corners of the streets to the palm trees "I am within you. You ARE withNme." A circular belief that we are all encompassing, united and divine. withNme is the current musical project of singer/songwriter Jamie Salazar. Based out of Redlands California, Salazar is the sole member of withNme and not only writes and performs the tracks but records, mixes and masters them as well. The philosophical concept of the project is the sound of the individual tapping into the universe. The idea that if you look within yourself, you will find that you are just as much a part of the universe as the universe is a part of you. The call and answer are heard as synthesizers, electronic drum beats, experimental guitar tones and bass are all layered together in a nostalgic crunch of ear candy. While the influence of New Wave, Post Punk and Goth bands of the 1980's can be heard throughout the music, Salazar has a unique musical point of view and explores a wide range of emotions and tempos. withNme is a truly singular listening experience for anyone interested in hearing a sonic search for balance, inspiration and self fulfillment.
