[With the advent of touch-capable smartphones, it's become increasingly difficult to play games released for the J2ME platform, which was previously the industry standard. As an act of homage for the dying platform, which gave birth to many a great and imaginative title, I like to release remastered and updated versions of themes from some of my favourite games.]

Galaxy on Fire is a J2ME mobile game created by a German game developer Fishlabs in 2005. The song is a remastered mix of the intro and battle themes.

This song is a mix of “Psychedelic” from the soundtrack for the Japanese version of “The World Ends with You” (TWEwY) by Takeharu Ishimoto with  “Democracy (PlanetDeusEx)” (stored in the game directory as “PDXHQ_Combat.ogg”) and “The Nameless Theme” from the soundtrack for “The Nameless Mod” (TNM) by Leo Badinella (http://leonardobadinella.com, https://www.audiosparx.com/LeoBadinella, https://leobadinella.bandcamp.com, https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCUnEs4Lu9h_l8m5FHlvlEBg). The remix can be plugged directly into your installation of TNM and replace the original “PDXHQ_Combat.ogg” track.

The picture is art for the character of Neku Sakuraba from TWEwY by Tetsuya Nomura and Gen Kobayashi, which was altered to resemble the character of Trestcon from TNM.
