Here comes the Judge — aim for the bushes,

The song takes inspiration from Accompong Town in Jamaica, the legendary Maroon
settlement founded by runaway slaves. At a time when slavery still reigned, Accompong
stood as a beacon of freedom, defended fiercely by the Maroons against colonial forces.
Their courage and unity led to a treaty with the British Crown, signed nearly a century
before the abolition of slavery. That victory is not just history, it is a legacy, and Aim for the
Bushes gives it voice.
The lyrics reflect the guarded nature of liberty, the struggle to defend it, and the resilience
required to survive. The phrase “aim for the bushes” symbolizes not only refuge but hope,
determination, and the refusal to surrender. It is both a chant and a rallying cry. Through MC
Spyder’s commanding vocal delivery, the spirit of Accompong lives again. The presence of
Spyder’s late father on the record adds an emotional depth that few tracks ever reach. It is a
bond of family, memory, and voice that connects generations.
