Following the release of ‘Happy Song’, the first single from forthcoming album ‘Break The Wall’, MF Robots reveal the full extended version of the song alongside remixes from Kenny Dope, Kaidi Tatham and Daz-I-Kue.

It’s only right that Kenny Dope should be the first producer to remix Jan Kincaid and Dawn Joseph’s new MF Robots project, considering the trio’s shared musical history. Kenny Dope began reworking Jan’s ‘Brand New Heavies’ material back in the early 90’s as one half of Masters At Work, helping the band reach club-land over and over again with a series of iconic remixes, recorded during the golden era of MAW’s output.

It’s no surprise then that there’s more than a hint of that special, Latin sunshine-infused mid-90’s House sound in Kenny’s rework of Happy Song, which showcases Dawn’s impeccable vocals over an infectious rhythm track and ultra-funky horn stabs. An instrumental version of Kenny’s mix is also included for the House purists, as well as the full, extended original version of Happy Song, packed with tight musicianship and more than its fair share of great grooves.

Pioneers of the UK Broken Beat movement and contributors to its most emblematic group, Bugz In The Attic, it seems almost inconceivable that Kaidi Tatham & Daz-I-Kue have never actually worked on a remix together before. As strange as it may sound, it’s true, and their powerhouse rework of ‘Happy Song’ is most definitely worth the wait.

About MF Robots:

Meeting in 2013 while recording and performing with one of the UK’s most commercially successful Acid Jazz bands, legendary UK drummer Jan Kincaid and vocalist Dawn Joseph discovered immediate musical chemistry and began writing songs together right away. They soon left the band to concentrate on their own work, starting MF Robots (Music For Robots) and releasing an eponymous debut in 2018. The album was so well received that the duo soon morphed into a band as they found themselves in-demand at venues and festivals all over Europe.

Forthcoming long player ‘Break The Wall’ represents a new benchmark for Jan and Dawn, reflecting the MF Robots project coalescing and maturing while fine-tuning their material, both on the road and in the studio.

On April 9th, Reel People release their second single of 2021, Vibe. Atlanta chanteuse supreme Paula leads the line, riding the track’s acoustic peaks and troughs with remarkable finesse and movingly conveying the ecstasies of love in her sincere, utterly spellbinding delivery.

Vibe, like recent outing Deja Vu (featuring Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Raheem DeVaughn), will feature on upcoming EP Hearts Collide due out this April. Produced by the collective’s core trio Oli Lazarus, Mike Patto and Toni Economides, Hearts Collide weaves more contemporary R&B vibes into that classic, soul-tingling Reel People flow.

All this, of course, is an acceleration of the group’s recent irresistible momentum. The plaudit-grabbing release of single I Never Knew and follow-up EP Dancing On The Moon last autumn marked Reel People’s first new material in over a decade and the perfect springboard for what’s to come this year. Raised in Biel/Bienne, a city known as Switzerland's mecca for Hip Hop enthusiasts, DJ WIZ gets in touch with this culture as a young teenager. Due to his passion to collect American and French Rap records, WIZ takes his first steps as a DJ during the late 90s. Fascinated by this new discovered craft he spends day and night refining his DJ skills. Within the mid 2000s the member of Biel’s DoubleTrouble DJ-Crew is already said to be one of his hometown's finest.
After over a decade behind the decks and his first steps as a beatmaker, DJ WIZ releases his producer debut album in 2010 as part of the group Ruck N’Wiz (Ruck P and WIZ). Thanks to very positive reviews and airplay on national radio and MTV, their record called "The Essential Part" (featuring artists such as Masta Ace, Delinquent Habits, Fashawn or Termanology) gets a lot of attention. After their first release, Ruck N'Wiz win 2011's national M4Music "Urban" Award and they're able to establish themselves as a cornerstone in Switzerland's Hip Hop landscape.

During the same time WIZ doesn't sleep as a solo artist. By releasing several mixtape- series called "Years Too Late", "We Be Clubbin" and "Wizness As Usual" the co- promoter of the event series "Rap History" proves the deepness of his record collection in an impressing way. Within a few years WIZ is able to develop his reputation from a well-respected underground Hip Hop head into a celebrated musical allrounder, said to be one of his country's most versatile DJs.

By releasing the series "A Journey Through The Samples" with Ruck N'Wiz, several Nu- Disco projects with Boulevard 95 and the mix-series "Next Wave" during the past two years, WIZ gets major international attention and is able to continue building his reputation as a multi-genre artist.

Without doubt DJ WIZ is one of todays top DJs in Switzerland, performing weekly at the finest clubs and festivals all over the country. With over 15 years of experience, the 30 years old DJ is able to rock any crowd from a fancy club event to an underground Hip Hop jam or a future groove party.

By dominating the Red Bull Thre3style 2015 Swiss Finals and becoming 2nd runner up at the World Finals in Tokyo, WIZ once again proved his skills on the turntables.
