So, a few months ago I was asked to remix a song from Sarah Brusco's album, The Woven Whisper.  I heard they were assembling a remix album, and it seemed like an awesome opportunity, so I just had to say yes.  And here's what I came up with!  So excited for you guys to hear this.  :)

Also, I've got some pretty big stuff coming musically.  Waiting on some things to get finished up, but I can't wait to show you.  Also planning to finally get some social media accounts up so I can connect with you all.  :)

Composed this piece in 2011 but never really published it. Found it the other day among my files and decided it was time to make it public. At the time I wrote it I was waiting for someone special to come home. Hope you like it!

Once upon a time,
There lived a small, shy ray at the edge of the reef. 
He was too young yet to understand why day rose and night fell, but he deeply feared the darkness. 
The fish burbled about the silvery light that would sometimes filter down onto the reef. It waxed and waned, brightened and dulled. 
It lit the darkness with cool colour, and chased away the shadows of the sea.
What could cause such a light? The small, shy ray wished to know.
Whales, far and wide, laughed low at his curiosity. What could possibly lay beyond the surface that was more powerful than they?
No matter how deep the small, shy ray buried himself in the sand, he wished to know. 
He pumped his fins as hard and as fast as he could, rising to the surface. 
Higher, higher. The silver light brighter, brighter, brighter and then.
The moon.
The small, shy ray arched high into the sky, his fins bathed in silver. The moonlight clung to his fins as he crested and dove, filling the reef with his glow.
The ray was no longer afraid, for he had harnessed the moon.
