Alligator Jackson and DJ Drivin' Duncan are getting funky as they get hyped up for FunktaFest. The groove takes over as they discuss funky music and the various artists who performed at the 2025 FunktaFest. This week's show featured music from: Sneezy, Massing, Buni Muni, Jeremy Short, Joslyn and the Sweet Compressions, and Funkle Sam's own band The M.F.B!

Alligator Jackson and DJ Drivin' Duncan are still feeling the party spirit after FunktaFest, and are looking for more fun things to do in the Huntington area. After coming across The Captain, the duo discusses club culture in the area and listen to music perfect for clubbing atmosphere. Featured artists include Flo Rida, Nelly, Coolio, and MF Doom. For the Local block, Gator and Duncan revisit local artists previously featured on Rocking the Herd: Funkle Sam and the M.F.B, Icezaya and Fat Shane, and Mr. Awful.

It's Homecoming Week at Marshall, and the theme for this year is Wheel of Thunder. Alligator Jackson and DJ Drivin' Duncan are pumped and ready to enjoy the Homecoming activities when suddenly Gator accidentally summons a storm that begins to flood the studio. Gator and Duncan discuss their memories of previous Homecomings and how excited they are for the 2025 Grand Marshal Jim Thornton who happens to be a WMUL alumni. While their isn't a local section for this show, Gator pays tribute to his distant cousin Scott Weiland by playing music from Stone Temple Pilots and Art of Anarchy,

Rocking the Herd A Thunderous Homecoming

Alligator Jackson is getting ready for Halloween, when DJ Drivin' Duncan says he's going trick or treating instead. DJ Drivin' Duncan goes trick or treating with Mothman, and leaves Gator to host the show with the buggy M.A.R.C.O AI. Featuring cover music by Mose Gigantus, a tribute to Daft Punk, and some Halloween music at the end.

Stratty and Mr. Awful join to talk about their time as WMUL DJs, and Duncan meets with WMUL's Sports Director Ben Anderson, Promotions Director (and former Rocking the Herd Co-host) Peyton Cisco, and Music Librarian Nick Righter to hear about their time currently at WMUL. It's all local music as Stratty finally gets to feature his music, and Mr. Awful provides Duncan with a new song to play, and DJ Benderson really wanted to hear Kool and the Gang all on this Birthday Party episode of Rocking the Herd

Alligator Jackson and DJ Drivin Duncan honor the late Ace Frehly and the Prince of Darkness Ozzy Osbourne. The duo reflects on the stars' careers. There's also a tribute to the 75 victims of the 1970 Marshall Plane Crash as well as the other celebrities who have died in 2025. The show features songs by Ace, Ozzy, and the bands ACDC and Black Sabbath.

Alligator Jackson and DJ Drivin' Duncan are getting ready for the Thanksgiving feast, when Duncan forgets the turkey. Gator solves the problem by bringing on Sasha Colette of Sasha Colette and the Magnolias to share her music and her own Thanksgiving traditions. Duncan also meets up with three members of WMUL's staff to learn about their own traditions. This, more local music, and even the history of the first Thanksgiving, all on Rocking the Herd's Thanksgiving Special.

With music from Paul McCartney, Alvin and the Chipmunks, 38 Special, Slade, and a performance from local artist Sasha Colette. Rocking the Herd ends the first semester of the revival in the most festive way possible.
