Everything about the original tune from Talking Heads, from the lyrics, to the guitar sections and the infectious melody, makes it an unforgettable piece of music for me.

The enigmatic Swedish duo @Elfenberg have gradually shed their cloak of mysteriousness to become familiar faces on the international scene. Since the birth of the act in 2017, Viktor and Henrik’s tunes have established them on both charts and festival lineups across the globe. The Swedes have also become key members of Oliver Koletzki’s Stil Vor Talent family since releasing their first EP with them early 2018. Elfenberg can not be defined by any genre but by a steady groove created in a primitive soundscape. A sound that embodies constant motion, spiralling into whatever creative vision the duo have in mind. In September 2019, they became proud owners of their own imprint, ‘Trampoliner’.

In regard to this special edit, they had the following to share with us...

'We've known Stankfejs (@klovvik), or Viktor (yes all swedes are named Viktor) since way back. We met musically through disco and started mixing together. We threw a series of parties as well, called; Late Night Groove. When we got our first booking requests, our beloved Stankfejs started handling those. Later on, Viktor moved abroad, and we continued on our end. We still have our group chat going, where we send music to each other, ideas, bits and sounds. This time Viktor came across a sequence from a Bollywood film called Thanedaar. We were completely stunned with the production and the number of people dancing flawlessly throughout the scene, pure joy for the eye. We agreed the song could use a slight push, so we sprinkled some magic over it and put a cherry on top, making it dancefloor-ready, so to speak. We find Bappi Lahiri and the movie brilliant and are grateful for Stankfejs encouraging discovery.
