Journey_Test_Part1

A lonely flower lost in her own thoughts, inevitably carelessness will take control of her actions, over and over.
So originally the goal behind this track was having it be 110 bpm, start with a slow piano intro that would develop into more electronic drops with saw stacks and such, but I randomly decided to try it at 182 bpm and ended up liking the idea a lot more and just deciding to continue on that path for writing the song, and while doing so i ended up focusing a lot of on the thematic side of the piece, which i wrote with a story in mind first, which was one about downfall into melancholy/corruption of mind represented under the form of a flower, thus why the title, and is also why I wanted to be some parts to feel really glitchy and is how I ended up choosing some elements of the song like the operatic voice towards the end and the outro specifically, as well as some of the sound design focusing a lot on down sampling elements, then after that pretty much focused on making everything feel as Artcore possible.
Overall had a lot of fun making this, although piecing all of the individual ideas was pretty hard, especially when it came to writing the verses, but still pretty proud of how it turned out and I hope you guys will enjoy and be able to feel what I was trying to portray in the song!

A happy day at a café spent with someone, surely a memory one would want to relive again and again.
This song was. . . very hard to work on to say the least, I know that I've wanted to make a café song for as long as I started making music, but every attempt I had done before wasn't really something I enjoyed, and the idea kind of stayed on my list but never was something I was actively trying to do anymore, then my friend sent me one song by Kamata Junko which was very bossa nova inspired, and I liked it so much that on one very impulsive thought I decided to just get into it, and try to do it again this time around with whatever newer experience I had since my last attempt, and It still didn't go very smoothly, I had to rewrite the first sketch about 5 or 6 times before I got something I liked, and then decided to make it a little bit more story telling like, and maybe relate it to some of my existing songs, and that is essentially how the idea for this song came to be.
Since I still lack experience with the genre, I do think this could've turned out a lot better, especially when it comes to humanizing the instruments, but I had a lot of fun working on it, hoping you enjoy it!

I wish that moment lasted forever

So this track started out with a simple idea, a really long time ago I basically discovered that if you took a sample that had reverb on it, and just stretched it to be pitched down, and then added MORE reverb it would basically sound really good (I know this sounds really scuffed but ehhh), and basically I always had this idea in the back of my mind, but I had never really managed to come up with anything that really stuck, although I had some really cool ideas none of them really made it to the light, as good as they are, because making a song entirely like this was really difficult, so I've been sitting on ideas like this for over a year.
And so fast forward to pretty recently, as I was getting back into music, I actually ended up making a LOT of things in 2024, but I won't be able to show any of it just yet but stilll, exciting stuff in the future, but that's not the topic, I was just messing around with this, and as I was making some of the really early sounds with the technique I mentioned, except at the time I was also being really inspired by botanica sort of sounds, and my main observation is how SOFT it sounds, it was such a soft, not fluffy but soft sound that was very pleasant to the ear, and I actually really wanted to achieve that in a way, and so I was told I could just use a spectral dynamics plugin, and just set it to a compressor (I still don't really know what this means), but it just made everything a lot less clicky, more soft, and so i went with that as a starting point.
and so the part right after the intro was the first part that was made essentially, and then i found out pianoteq had some really nice glockenspiel, and so it kind of just went with that, then I incorporated parts that were more melodic, and just overall, part of me wanted this to sound really sophisticated in a way, but I also thought that it didn't necessarily need to, at times i feel a bit of anxiety and think to myself, "what if my music is not sophisticated enough", but then I come to realize that whether it is or it isn't, not every song needs to be that way, and so on, and so I deliberately took a simpler direction with the song overall, the chords don't do anything too complicated, the melodies and arrangement aren't really super complex, it's meant to be more of a respite, just something to make the listener more relaxed first and foremost, and just something to be like a break almost, lure you in with the atmosphere, I am unsure how successful I was with this, but I hope everyone listening does enjoy it!!! but yeah the atmosphere was definitely the bigger focus here, but I believe it still has my person astolsko touch.
