Christmas preparations are underway and some of you may have already started your baking. In honor of the great bakers, we are going to talk about Christmas Cookies!

For our Friday Favorites, The Morning Thing hosts will share their favorite Christmas Cookie.

Josiah Friday Favorite

Joely Lepley, chair of the Fredericktown Christmas Walk committee, talked with WNZR’s Marcy Rinehart about her role in facilitating committee meetings and organizing everything leading up to the December 6th event, which always carries the theme “A Country Christmas.” 

She highlighted the many activities planned and emphasized that the walk benefits local families, with proceeds supporting several Fredericktown charities. 

Celebrating its 25th year, Joely says she can’t choose a favorite part of the event—she simply loves seeing the community come together and soak up the Christmas spirit. She offered a big thank-you to the committee, donors, and everyone who attends. 

The walk runs from 4 to 7 p.m. along Main Street, where visitors will also find the best parking options, and updates are available on their Facebook and Instagram pages. Her Christmas wish is for a happy, healthy holiday season for all.

WNZR's Cougar Conversation today features Angela Roshak from the MVNU Women’s Basketball Team.
She is a Senior Exercise Science Major from North Canton, Ohio. She hopes to become a physical therapist after graduation. 

Angela plays Center for the Lady Cougars and is the only senior. She talks about this leadership role on a team that has been through a lot of transitions, including having a new coach.
Angela talks about how she is learning the lesson of perseverance this season. She is learning to surrender everything to the Lord.

Rapid Fire reveals that Angela’s support system is her big family. Angela has 9 siblings!
Her favorite bible verses are Romans 8:28 – 29.

Angela Roshak Cougar Conv interview pt 3

WNZR's Cougar Conversation today features Trent Koning from the MVNU Men’s Basketball Team.
He is a graduate student working on his master’s degree in data analytics with MVNU. He is from Cedarville, OH. He hopes to find a finance job with a sports team after graduation.

Trent talks about his leadership role with a team that is very young and energetic. He plays the position of point guard.

He shares that the RULECougar culture is helping him strive for excellence on and off the court. The E stands for “Competitive Excellence”. He is learning to live out a lesson from Coach Ronai – “how you do anything is how you do everything”. 

Trent shares some memories with the team and that his favorite bible verse is Romans 1:16

Trent Koning Cougar Conv interview pt 1

Cindy Martin, Branch Manager with the Danville Branch of Interchurch Social Services talks with WNZR’s Eric Brown about her role in the organization and their ministry.

She shares several numbers including in 2024, they served 17,514 meals equating to 1,946 people, to date in 2025, they have served 15, 867 meals equating to 1,763 people this year.
