This month I am super excited to have one of my favorite wave producers on board with us! Giant Ibis has played a key role in bringing that DRUMWAVE sound into the wave scene and has gifted us with this fire mix today. Also the first hour will be the set I played at the Konnexion music festival.

Carter Hordyski, better known under the moniker Giant Ibis, is a 28 year old producer/DJ hailing from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. He quickly established himself as a figure in the underground Wave scene, and continues to push the sound today. He has received international radio play on Plasticians prior Rinse FM show, and BBC radio. He's also released projects through Muti Music, Vibe.Digital and Terrorhythm to name a few. His sound is heavily influenced by space, metaphysics and day to day life. You can expect to hear a blend of his slower/quicker productions as well as halftime, drum and bass, and jungle elements.

Kiana, aka keekz, started her journey in 2018 by taking electronic music production classes at Night Vision Music Academy in Edmonton, lberta. Fast forward a few years and you can find keekz utilizing that knowledge of rhythms & patterns to showcase the perfect balance of intricate drums, soul-shaking bass, original productions (team Ableton), & powerful female influences during one of her diverse sets.
When she's not making people dance, keekz is curating events with the legendary Umbral Sound System in Edmonton-a new collective she has co-founded with a few talented individuals that saw the need for inclusive & community-focused parties featuring some big-ass, custom speakers)
