For Tectonic’s 20th anniversary, label boss Pinch rounds up some heaters from the label alongside their Tectonic Sound compilation. Spinning the whole bass spectrum, Pinch goes from broiling two step to scrubbing grime, with frazzled pulse discharging great energy beside Trim’s idiosyncratic, expressive raps. Lighter moments like the whizzing, zipping, euphoric arpeggios of Peverlist’s ‘Feel Something’ are offset by guttural moody bass, travelling from the club convergence of rattles and tings and brightly resonating metals on Bohdi’s ‘Bellcurve’ to the heavy rotating bass of J. Sparrow’s ‘L33T SP33K’, with slippery dub lasers echoing out.

One year later, closing down the India stage… it’s just surreal. This was without a doubt the most special gig I’ve ever played, so I’m really glad it’s out there now.

To celebrate the release of the Telepathic Fish compilation, we have a special ‘O Is For Orange 2025’ Bleep Mix from DJ Food.

"A version of this mix first appeared in 2013 at a night to celebrate the release of Boards of Canada’s ‘Tomorrow’s Harvest’ LP release. It then morphed into an Audio Video DJ set that I toured around the UK in 2019, playing the Bluedot festival to a packed tent that year. The idea was to thread Boards of Canada’s music with original sample sources, tracks they’d remixed, fan remixes or songs that fitted their sonic blueprint.

I recently resurrected and refined the mix for a gig booking, updating it into a new version. This happened to be a week before I was due to deliver my guest mix to Bleep and it seemed to be too good an opportunity to pass up. I abandoned the mix I was going to deliver and put down the first hour of the ‘Orange’ set including a video mix to go with it. I used stem splitting apps to deconstruct some of the tracks into unique versions before video mixing it all on turntables using Serato then editing the footage in Premiere." - @strictly

Giuseppe De Chiara born and raised in Naples, launched his WarinD project in September 2015, inspired by the raw energy of Techno and Schranz. At the same time, he founded his own label, WarinD Records, to release his debut productions. Over the years, the label has become a platform for cutting-edge electronic music, featuring artists such as Nico Moreno, Trym, Oguz, Dyen, Cassie Raptor, Thomas P. Heckmann, Charlie Sparks, Lee Ann Roberts, Vendex, and many more. Growing up in a tough neighborhood of Naples, music became both an escape and a source of strength for him. His journey into electronic music began at just 13, when he started experimenting with his father's turntables. By 16, he was already producing his own tracks as a self-taught artist, driven by an intense passion and insatiable curiosity. WarinD is highly regarded for the energy and emotion he brings to his DJ sets. Each performance is a powerful journey, filled with melodies and raw intensity that offer the crowd a truly unique and immersive experience. He is a meticulous artist, dedicating countless hours in the studio to prepare his sets—editing and reshaping tracks to give them his unmistakable, personal touch. As a producer, he has released music on some of the world’s leading techno labels, including Exhale and 44 Label Group. WarinD has performed at some of the most iconic clubs and festivals across Europe, including Verknipt, Blackworks, Cocoricò, Fabrik, Tresor, and Kompass Klub.
