Over the past five years Daniel Lodig and Martin Sovinz aka /DL/MS/ (@dl-ms) have been continually commuting through the electro singularity, constructing their unique brand of fragile bass music from extradimensional sound salvage, and spreading their frequency patterns via the subspace channels of @frustratedfunk, @pomelorecords, @vigram and TRUST. 

‘Calanhi’ is the Viennese duo‘s debut album – 12 tracks that combine the eternally fresh aesthetics of Detroit-style electro with a relentless curiosity for rhythmic and harmonic experimentation. Seismic club thumpers like ’Invisible Bits’, ‘Mountains’, and ‘Trusted Funk’ alternate with moody ambient interludes, boldly constructed beat inventions, and blissfully melodic acid breaks. Two collaborations further switch up the flow: Nigerian artist @g-rizo (@hezekinapollutina, Deejay Gigolo) drops her cryptic rhymes on ‘Divide & Conquer’, and Spanish singer Xx Isis xX (@isiskuaygarond) provides vocals for ‘Accelerated Frequency’.

In Hour 2 Rio de Janeiro bass producers Omulu & IOIA step up with a special tribute mix to Elza Soares, one of Brazil’s most iconic artists. Omulu has been hailed by Diplo as one of Brazil’s most exciting bass and baile-funk producers, and here in collaboration with his partner Glaucia Mayer (IOIA) he offers a tribute mix to Elza featuring tracks from her seven-decade long career plus gems from artists who inspired her as well as contemporary Brazilian artists she has influenced.  "It's hard to underestimate the importance and influence Elza Soares has on Brazilian music”, says Omulu. “She has an incredible musical oeuvre that stretches back over seven decades mixing samba with jazz, soul, funk, hip hop and electronica, whilst her life-story is a rags-to-riches rollercoaster of triumphs and tragedies that has made her a voice for Brazil’s repressed female, black, gay and working class populations. With this mix we wanted to pay tribute to her life in music featuring tracks from throughout her career. We included some of her first recordings as well as classics from samba pioneers Clementina de Jesus, Dalva de Oliveira and Lupicínio Rodrigues, who composed Elza's first hit "Se Acaso Você Chegasse”. We have featured tracks from other female singers from the 60s/70s such as Aparecida and Georgette who like Elza were positive black female role models, and then we bring the mix bang up to date with tracks from Brazilian artists such as Meta Meta, MC Carol & Rico Dalasam who are continuing the fight for equality for black and LGBT artists, plus remixes from myself, Gilles Peterson and Marginal Men of tracks from Elza’s latest release on Mais Um Discos" You can find the 'End of the world REMIXES' release here https://maisumdiscos.bandcamp.com/

Ronin – Liveset Recording 2019

Coaxing nuanced expression from analog machines and digital possibilities alike, @noahpred has been envisioning the future through electronic music for over twenty years – yet the story of this accomplished producer and DJ continues to unfold. Reinterpreting his signature production style anew, 2018 saw the release of two full-lengths charting the territories between deep space experimentalism, intricate polyrhythms, delicate soundscapes, evocative acid, and hypnotic dub frontiers. The breadth of Noah’s sonic worldview was espoused until September 2019 through his monthly two-hour podcast, IFS. Each episode reveals the depth of his technical approach, the sensibility of a seasoned selector, and the pedigree of a late-night veteran.
A two-time Juno Award nominee in his native Canada, a music educator and technologist in his adopted hometown Berlin, an alum of Cynosure, Highgrade, and Trapez LTD, and founder of the acclaimed Thoughtless imprint, Noah is also a DJ whose past residencies at Stereobar in Montreal and Fukhouse in Toronto helped lay the framework for his dynamic yet fluid sets that continue to resonate with diverse communities.  A notable newcomer in Canada’s underground scene of the early 2000s, Pred’s distinctive production style earned him a place among his peers with releases on @weareimmigrant, Intrinsic Design, and Consigned Recordings. Driven by the fuel that fired up Thoughtless, Noah relocated to Berlin in 2011, where his creative horizons continued to expand via collaborative projects with @tomclark as @alseimage on @get-physical-music, with @pablo-bolivar on @apparel-music and @biotop-label, with @timxavier on Alphahouse, and with @deepchild as @concubine-berlin.
Between his recent solo EPs for @traumraum-kollektiv, @computemusic, and Biotop, his vivid sets of techno, house, and electro, the advanced sound design of his haunting atmospherics, and the ever-evolving scope of his technical capabilities, Noah’s commitment to electronic innovation remains as strong as ever – and in the face of global uncertainty, his utopian sonic narratives have never felt so vital. With a variety of custom generative sequencers
constructed for his Manifest Audio sound design outlet due for release in 2020, Noah turns his focus toward the possibilities of sound installation and multimedia work.
