Live At Dubchanted 2023

Adam Hester got his start DJing in the late 90s in Denver and Boulder, playing Jungle, Breaks and House for the Catalyst Crew and the Root of the Hill. As the 2000s turned into the 2010s, Adam shifted focus to Reggae and Soul as well as playing guitar and drums in several bands around the Mile High City. The pandemic marked a return to a focus on dance music, and Adam has been running Konkrete Jungle Mile High with original Konkrete Jungle New York founder Cassien every Fourth Friday of the month in the Lounge at the Black Box. Not content to stay in one lane genre-wise, Adam has been an avid supporter of the local Dubstep community, dropping mixes and sets comprised of homegrown talent for Coal Mine Sound and CouchFam. And most recently he’s been pushing the UKG sound with gigs at Beacon and mixes on UKG Proper. For this mix, he’s selected some of his favorite UKG Breaks from the last couple of years and mixed them together for an hour of funky drums, ragga samples, sultry vocals and MASSIVE bass.
