Sometimes, my ideas outstrip my skills.  But, how else could I possibly learn?  You've got to give it a try--even your craziest ideas.  

Welcome to "An Allemande (For Cellos and Arcade)", the latest track from Interbay (a bit later than normal, I apologize for that...)  

This track was pulled off a shelf in The Vault, having been originally waiting for a video to be made for it so it could be posted on Facebook--but, since switching to SoundCloud, this track and quite a few others must wait until I make some changes so they meet the restrictions I've placed on the tracks I post here.  (For example, every track must have a vocal element.)  

The original title for this track was going to be "Galaxian Defenders Orchestra"--as the idea was that it would combine arcade sounds with symphonic instruments.  (I did honor that by having the conductor announce the name to the audience before the track "begins.")  

Is this "really" an Allemande?  Not at the moment it isn't.  Probably won't ever be, but it could.  I think.  (Classical music is NOT my strong suit.)  

And let me be clear, there is precious little "classical music" in this piece--to the point where I'm not even using it as a tag for this track.  Yes, there are some strings--there are some choral voices--but, for the most part, this is an electro pop tune (mostly instrumental, but enough vocals so it qualifies for posting here.)  

Now, if you're looking for song structure...this track is a mess.  It holds together only because of some duct tape I used to connect some unconnectable parts together.  There's always something interesting going on, but if you asked me "What does it all mean?"--I'm not sure I'd have an answer for you.  

Who will like this track?  I think anybody who likes it when Interbay gets a bit goofy will really enjoy this.  

(I just changed my mind.  I'm adding the "classical" tag to this track, to completely baffle any classical music fans who might click on this expecting something truly symphonic.)  

This is mutant pop at its finest.  Well, at its most confusing, perhaps.  

Give it a listen.  See if you like it.  I hope you do!
