Making his return to the release schedule is Wolf Trap owner Tim Cook with two peak time tracks under his Sousk Guise.

Sousk’s last release on Wolf Trap “Pang” gained plaudits from the likes Terry Farley, DJ. T, Justin Harris and Luke Solomon and recent collaborations with Phil Thompson (Moonface) saw their track “Da Riddum” make it on to MK’s “In The House” compilation mix for Defected, in the form of a Reset Robot remix.

Futureo is a peak time stripped back groove with a chest thumping kick, concentrating on a hypnotic deep bassline, snappy snares, atmospheric stab and floating pads that keep you locked in the journey.

Nadja Lind and Paul Loraine come together again with two exclusive tracks for Wolf Trap’s next release. 

It’s been a very busy year so far for both Nadja and Paul with their collaborations, as well as Nadja’s Klartraum productions being played by leading DJs such as Jamie Jones, Maceo Plex, Funk D’Void, Magda, Sven Vath, Luciano, and Loco Dice.

Both highly respected DJ/Artists in their own rights, when Nadja and Paul get together musically, something special happens. Their reputation for making solid grooves just keeps on growing.

Ruin (original & Klartraum remix): Deep subs, industrial, swung beats, dub techno pads and a demented discordant hook make for a slightly uneasy but ultimately funky ride.  The Klartraum remix is kick heavy with serious swagger. Funky keys take this mix in another direction and lovely crisp hi hats whip you towards a crescendo of technoid bleeps and scratchy, swingy techiness. 

It Started with a Kick:  With it’s pendulous, big-breasted bass line this track bounces along with an infectious old skool chug.  This peak time techno-houser's Itchy, scratchy hats, blistering beats and Errol Brown vocal mean only one thing… dance floor destruction inescapable.

Every track we release excites us in some way, if they didn’t then there would be no point releasing them. We’ve got to say though that we are super excited about our next release. 

Nadja Lind and Paul Loraine have once again worked their magic with two diverse tracks exclusively for Wolf Trap, ‘Velocity’ and ‘Left of Centre’.  As if that alone wasn’t enough, the EP, which will be out on vinyl as well as digitally, includes remixes from Scottish techno legend Vince Watson and Animalz (Sousk and Phil ‘Moonface Thompson) making this EP one you will want in your box! 

Nadja Lind and Paul Loraine are no strangers to the Wolf Trap roster having had several previous releases on the label. Both artists have established careers in their own rights. Nadja is co owner of Berlin label Lucidflow with her Klartraum partner Helmut Ebritsch. Described by Pulse Radio as a ‘leading underground lady’ in their Top Ten Chart, Nadja is no stranger to some of the world’s most famous clubs and festivals. She’s played at clubs such as Tresor, Fabric and DC-10 and her style is eclectic, from dubby atmospheric sounds to driving techno and grooving tech-house. She’s recently remixed tracks for Robert Babicz, Alexi Delano and Cari Lekebusch to name a few. Nadja doesn’t do limits.

Paul Loraine, currently based in Barcelona, is just as busy. He’s recently started his own label Rhythm Cult and is described by Mixmag as UK’s ‘best kept secret’. Paul has had releases on imprints like Vitalik, Four:Twenty, Fondation, Akbal, Flumo, My Favorite Robot and Lucidflow and his tracks regularly feature in the sets and charts of big DJs such as Jamie Jones, Maceo Plex, Funk D’Void, Magda, Sven Vath, Luciano, Loco Dice and Hernan Catteneo. It’s no surprise then that the Lind/Loraine combination works so well.

On remix duties are production duo Animalz and Vince Watson.

Glasgow born Vince is now based in Amsterdam and has been ‘blamed’ for having a catatonic impact on the global electronic music scene. That’s quite a statement but totally accurate. His spacious, poignantly trance-tinged style of Detroit techno helped facilitate the house/techno cross-over at the end of the Millennium with his debut LP Biologique. It carried with it ‘Bubbles’ and seminal track ‘Mystical Rhythm’ which still holds classic status on dance floors across the world. As well as owning his own label Bio Music he’s regularly had releases on Tresor, Planet E, Everysoul, Delsin, Fcom, Ibadan, Mule and Urban Torque.

Animalz are production duo and friends, Tim Cook and Phil Thompson. Tim who produces under the Sousk guise, has been making music for a few years now and has had releases on NYC’s Railyard Recordings, Fade, Kismet and Wolf Trap. His 2013 release ‘Pang’ has just featured on Luke Solomon’s recently released compilation ‘Unfinished Business Volume 3’. Phil Thompson aka Moonface is a legend in his own right. He was signed to Bedrock in 99 when Digweed heard a demo of his and has played all over the world at clubs and festivals since.  His tracks have featured on numerous compilations including the famous Global Underground series and a Reset Robot remix of Animalz track ‘Da Riddum’ was included on MK's Defected compilation CD series ‘In Da House’

Following Sam’s epic dub-techno remix of Stefan Weise’s ‘Convergence’ on WT021, he’s back for his debut EP for Wolf Trap.

Sam offers up 3 superb tracks that range from Techno to Electro and Electronica.

Sammy Goossens aka Sierra Sam has been active in the electronic music world for more than 15 years. Starting as a party promoter in his home town Liege (Belgium), he soon found his way in to the studio and on to produce music for labels like Reload, R&S, Rotation, Pure Plastic, Muller and Teknotika. 

In the past, Sammy also co-produced for other artists like Suburban Knight (UR, Peacefrog) and Bloody Mary (Contexterrior).

His own Toys For Boys imprint, co-owned by Marcus Vector, has proved very successful, gaining support from the major players on the scene.

More recently he relocated to Berlin to work as label manager for Jay Haze's Contexterrior and TuningSpork as well releasing tracks on both labels (as Sierra Sam or D.I.Y.) Sam’s also got releases Pets Recordings, Holic Trax, Dirt Crew, Trapez Ltd, Einmaleins, Supplement Facts, Serialism, Souvenir, Upon You, Nordik Net, Dame Music and now Wolf Trap!

Sammy’s awesome remix skills have led to working with the likes of Tim Xavier & Par Grindvik (LTD 400), Monika Kruse (Terminal M) and B Pitch Control (Fuckpony).

Last but not least, Sammy is a performer. He’s played at Fabric, Rex, Watergate, Fuse and WeekEnd to name a few, as well as cities all over the world.

Sam’s now infamous all-analogue live jams with KiNK and Yappacc are not to be missed and he continues to push the boundaries of performing live... It’s just what he does!!

Sierra Sam - Danger Zone

For their 24th release Wolf Trap do not disappoint, as a label they have always kept the level super high and this new release pushes things on very nicely. Taking up the reigns we have a man who has been around for long enough to be well established and you can tell in his music. Supremely on point, supremely polished. A sentiment that covers Wolf trap’s 24th quite aptly.

We have in our hands a three tracker, kicking proceedings off we have “Informant' - a special, pounding piece of Techno where resonant peaks play around with the progression, it’s an alternate sound with a very interesting tone. Packaged in a truly floor ready sound that will be popular amongst loads of djs.

‘Fallin’ continues the vibe of the first, a little more rolling and percussive this time round in the beginning, but making way to Sierra Sam’s intricate synth work as it progresses, Dystopian vibes flow freely as you dance the night away.

Closing the EP we have ‘Extension’, once again you get shades of Blade Runner but in the form of an almost classic electro rhythm, of course it’s still big floor fodder but the change in energy really rounds this EP out nicely.

WT024 : Sierra Sam - Informant

Wolf Trap reach their 23rd release after having a strong run of late with some impressive records including artists such as Vince Watson & Sierra Sam, and it's easy to see quality of talent Wolf Trap represent.  Continuing their run of well programmed releases is  Bodeler with his “Sampler 10” ep.  Including 2 remixes - one by Sousk & Stefan Weise and an individual flip by Stefan.

Berlin based Bodeler has received praise for his past releases on Little helpers and Hello?Repeat from the likes of Luciano & Nick Curly and others, but its on Wolf Trap we find him at his finest.

The title track “Sampler 10” opens the EP, a playful jazzy affair, with its brushed drums and transient synth work.  The funked bass and rhythm are executed and delivered well making this a supremely deep but inviting cut.  Cleverly placed this track could play out at any time of day or night, a testament to the track itself.  Bodeler's other original piece on the record is 00001, again we are presented with Bodeler’s stripped marching grooves, this time with a slight minimalistic feel to the groove and synth work but still with the essence of playfulness that the producer conveys with great ease.

Where the originals walked a funkier path the remixes take the more direct root. The first of 2 remixes is Bodeler - Sampler 10 (Stefan Weise remix) , Stefan uplifts the tracks into a hyper reality of the original, Light and dreamy whilst driving things on with some fantastic percussive work. To Round out the EP - Sousk joins up with Stefan to remix “00001”.  Present from the off is the lovely meandering dubbed chord progressions and sound design the pair have conjured up, Interlaced with the mild acid tones that swell in the later sections this is a fast paced dubbed out sonic journey.

Kicking of f 2018 for Wolf Trap is the third installment from U.S Techno don Stefan Weise.

2017 was a very busy year for Stefan having several releases on Berlin imprint Lucidflow, starting his own label 3KM and continuing with his decade old Proton radio show Blue Industries.

Stefan’s releases have seen continued support from industry heavyweights such as Ben Sims, Ian Pooley, Danny Tenaglia, Jonas Kopp and Lauren Garnier to name but a few.

This 3 tracker kicks off with Spiral Arm Calling. The trademark dubby percussive synths that ramble on throughout this track have become synonymous with Stefan’s instantly recognizable sound. These constantly evolving organic textures bring the track to life and keep it rolling on while the punchy rhythm section does exactly what it should.

The Shadows We Cast is a slightly more laid back affair.  Deep synth stabs march along to lush evolving melodic pad lines that contrast the crisp drum production beautifully. 

In total contrast to the first two offerings Canton St. 4am’s minimalistic Techno percs and ambient building synths finish off what is an all round excellent EP.

Starting off 2020, Wolf Trap is proud to present Dallas Electro artist Blixaboy (CPU Records) with a driving 3-track electro EP.

First up is Airmaidens with a dubby atmospheric and sci-fi feel underscored by a busy 909. The title track Dwarf Star Conspiracies will fit nicely into any part of the night with its monstrous deep bass. Closing out the EP is the delightfully chill and futuristic Shock Gibson.

Wolf Trap sublabel Wolf Trap Red Series, spearheaded by label artist Stefan Weise, represents a harder and darker tone.

Our first release in the series comes from Ukrainian Techno pioneer Oleg Mass with 4 tracks of raw, analog, basement Techno. Previous releases by Oleg have featured on Mike Dehnert's Fachwerk, Alex Bau's Credo, Pig&Dan's Elevate and Sian's Octopus imprints.

For our 32nd release we introduce newcomer Kristian K who has been turning heads for over a year now with a release on Oleg Mass's Framework label.

With a deep and dark sound, Kristian draws on his Maurizio and Rhythm & Sound influences with 3 deep, funky and dubby cuts.

For the second release on our Red Series, Stefan Weise presents a dark and gritty 3 tracker. Leading the pack is "Nex" with a dubby chugging beat and plenty of sonic experimentation. Next up is the Sci-Fi inspired "The Seventh Signal" with it's squelchy synths and dark pads. Rounding things out is "Königsberg", Stefan's homage to his late Grandfather.
