Superamalgamated was created during iteration ten of the Monome Community Remix Project. In this meta project each participating artist crawled through the entire back catalog of MCRP works and chose a 15 second sample from any previous MCRP track to contribute to our common pool of raw material. Tracks were completed within a span of two weeks, created solely out of audio from the pool.

Superamalgamated

Recorded live at the first Renegade Lights, Space Gallery in San Francisco on 020100919.  This edited recording is good but bootleg quality, with everyone having a good time as part of the ambience.  The show was fantastic, the people amazing and beautiful.  It was a wonderful night.

Harmaline is the post-industrial outfit of sonic raconteurs Ryan Dempsey, Jeremy Dickens and Matt Simpson. Here's my remix of their track Honour, in celebration of Comrade Dickens' planar coalescence and emergence. Life slows sound to honey's pace sometimes, but I hope you dig it, Jeremy.

Temporal Merge

Beautiful was written during iteration nine of the Monome Community Remix Project. In this MCRP, each participating artist contributed two samples to a common pool: one piece of stolen film music, one piece of stolen film dialog.  Individual tracks were then created solely from the pool of samples submitted by all artists. Tracks were completed within a short window after receiving the sample package.

To make peace with my OCDaemon, I succeeded in using at least an edited piece of every submitted sample for the last MCRP, version 8.  Temporal Merge was the result.  Beautiful, however, so ferociously resisted those methods that its source pool ended up relatively slim and minimal.  I like it this way.  I think I would have damaged it had I tried to shoehorn everything in.
