Political power -- armed central authority, with states and war -- is it part of human nature? Is it necessary for human communities? Or is it a tool that ruling elites use to live at the expense of communities? A tool that does violence to human nature and the world?

Engines of Domination offers a theory of political power as a tool for making tools of human beings -- an engine that converts human energy into authority and privilege for the rulers. Invented in the Bronze Age, brilliantly refined for six thousand years, today the engine has caused a human emergency that threatens to destroy our world.

This documentary makes a powerful argument that there is only one way to save the future. Armed central authority must be abolished, giving way to a world of peaceful voluntary communities -- in other words, an argument for anarchism.

From the creators of Unveiled and Lifted comes a visual adaptation of Mark Corske's book Engines of Domination.

Live improvised ambient music for cassette tape loop, AM radio, and eurorack modular.

After attempting to create an infinite looping cassette tape I was finally successful last night. It took a lot of precision work to get the small cassette tape spliced together. 

The cassette loop in this composition is the lo-fi bell sounds heard in the beginning and throughout the piece. Layered on the sound is live AM radio station static. I used the Qu-bit Nebulae to playback a pre-recorded melodic loop. Everything was mixed together with the Korgasmatron filter and brought into Ableton Live where I added some reverb and delay. In Live I also played back some found sound voice recordings.

The title track from my debut self-released in 2012. The track is a biographical piece about the small pockets of time and space in which we (wife & I) had to pursue our creative dreams.  Also with the small moments of hope, progression and fulfilment in this, often writing or composing in the corner of a bedroom in the small hours. Now we have children this has become even smaller and yet we find we do more writing than ever before.
