Gaismagorm Theme (Live Piano)

A quick piano play-through of the awesome flagship monster themes from the newest Monster Hunter game Generations! The themes are in the order Mizutsune, Astalos, Gammoth and finishing with Glavenus. Mizutsune was one of the hardest themes due to it's oriental style and all were tricky to recreate on the piano!

One of my favourite village themes with a lot of good memories for many hunters. A live recording on piano of the amazing Pokke Village theme back from the Monster Hunter Freedom series days, also seen in the new Generations. I play this in a slightly easier key I am more comfortable with!

Pokke Village Theme (Live Piano)

A live recording on piano of the Kokoto Village theme from the very first Monster Hunter game. This is the theme I grew up with playing the first Monster Hunter on PS2 back over 10 years ago and I have lots of memories here. This village is also seen in the new Generations which was so nostalgic for me, I'm sure I'm not the only one!

Kokoto Village Theme (Live Piano)

Ukanlos' theme, also known as Absolute Zero, is an epic theme of fast paced chasing and calm as you run away in terror from that giant monster's shovel-like face until he disappears under the ice! His theme was hard to learn but really fun to play.

Ukanlos Theme (Live Piano)

White Fatalis is different from the others, it boasts white luminescent scales and lines of fur running down its back. Be wary of his thunder attacks, you'd better start running! This theme is very unique and I tried to capture the chromatic melody by changing which hand I normally do the main tune in, it took a while to get sounding right!

Here is the main theme to the spinoff game Monster Hunter Stories. It was the first piece of music I heard from the game and I love how it incorporates a sense of adventure whilst keeping bits of the original Monster Hunter theme.

Monster Hunter Stories Main Theme (Live Piano)

Dundorma is a town that appears first in the Second gen of Monster Hunter and again in MH4U. The town is well known for its large Elder Hall where you can take part in G-Rank quests. Dundorma is also the headquarters for the Elder Dragon Observation Centre.

The most fantastic theme from Monster Hunter: World that really shows off it's new potential. I love the grand sweeping notes and a mixture of themes that sounds nothing like what has come before. A challenge to learn but I hope the piano has done it justice.

"Driven by the Stars" Monster Hunter: World (Live Piano)

You hear an explosion in the distance and before you know it you've been carted by the unseen explosions! This theme reminds me of an epic war film which I would say fits this scaly fiend Bazelgeuse. The chords took hours to get right and I had to edit them a little to sound right on the piano. Beware!

Here comes the amazing theme of the undead looking Elder dragon Vaal Hazak. I loved learning the chords for this theme. It took a lot of time to get the piece the correct speed because although it looks like I'm moving quickly, the tempo was slower than I first thought.

Probably one of the most awesome sounding themes in Monster Hunter World. It really fits the environment and I think adding the effects and electronic sounds really adds to the feel, but most of which are impossible to do on piano!

A newly emerged Elder Dragon which the New World has not encountered before. The sounds are sometimes unusual and bold which reflect the strange stage of this monster.

Welcome Melons! Here I will be posting my piano covers of the amazing music from the video game franchise Monster Hunter. I learn all of the themes by ear which means I don't use any sheet music or notes. There are also original pieces below and other film and video game delights!
