Blamhaus brings his signature high-impact sounds to a fresh new EP on his B-Haus label.

Blamhaus is based in South East London and his influences vary from afrobeat to techno. He has a particular love of bass and always puts it at the forefront of his characterful productions. Next to his own label, he’s also hooked up with the likes of Stomp House and Manholding, and is an artist who has fully established himself in the last couple of years. This new EP comes hot on the heels of big support for B-haus010 from Ben Sims who played it in his NTS show and Cian O Ciobhan on his ATT radio show and End of Year list for 2021. Laurent Garnier, Josh Wink and Paco Osuna also rated the EP highly.

Opener 'Grab On' blends tough drums with a deep and funky bassline that allows the percussive synths to oscillate and glide about in their rhythmic patterns. It's a punchy, muscular track but one with inviting warmth.

Remixer Rob Zile is a mainstay from the southern hemisphere who hosts a popular show on Kiss FM Australia and runs Brain Food Records. His remix offers a skewed slant on the original and is a banging and unashamedly dancefloor-oriented track that makes an explosive mark.

The superb 'Static' joins the dots between Detroit techno, breaks and jump-up bass music. Melodic chords and percussive drum rolls lay the foundations for a bone-rattling bottom end to take pride of place.

B-Haus011 is the sort of heavyweight club music you can really feel.

The first release  from Echtraí brings 3 techno heavy hitters. “Vector” is as direct to the dancefloor as you are going to get. Jackin drums, atonal chords and spiralling sub rhythms combine to wreak devastation on sound systems.
“Contemplate”’s minimal approach pulls you into its mesmerising rhythm. Glitchy percussion rolls along as the acidic synth line slowly opens and evolves throughout the track. “2000” is inspired by techno music that was released around the start of the millennium. Simple chord progression, hammering drums, hefty bassline are all present for this peaktime stomper.

Originally from Ireland, DJ/Producer Blamhaus is now based in London, UK. As a teen he got into electronic music from legends such as daft punk, the prodigy, leftfield being major influences but as he dug deeper discovering artists such as Mad Mike, Drexciya, Claude young, Mark Broom, Jeff Mill cemented his love for the underground. He runs three labels B-Haus, Echtraí both focusing on Techno/House and Wołno (a pun for the Polish word for “Slowly”) based around slower tempos with a focus on cross genre productions.

Bazrah’s latest ep arrives on WoŁno. “Balentia” melds mechanical synth rhythms, chirpy melodies with swinging dancehall beats, before switching to a more direct, intense ending. “Boomer” is as direct to the dancefloor as it gets. Ruff and ready synth line poses on top of slammin kicks , growling low end and interspersed with glitchy electronics.“Fats” blends hip hop beats with dubby overtones. Phat bass and spikey synth circle around one another while dub techno style pads add depth to proceedings.

Whilst “Validation EP” stays within its musical boundaries it shows its inspiration and has more depth than first appears. Bazrah’s music has been supported by BBC 6 music, RTE (2fm/RnaG) and has previously featured on Bandcamp’s best electronic music round up.

WOŁNO’s second release comes courtesy of Blamhaus. He provides a two track ep which covers funky basslines, acid grooves, detroitesque chords which comes together to create a forward looking electronic music.

Title track “Circuit Breaker”’s acid groove is bolstered by a beefy bassline and hefty drums showing that you don't need to turn the tempo sky high to create a dancefloor focused stomper. “Have you met my friend” is a more laid back affair, its funky bassline demands your attention as melodic chords float in and out.
