We are extremely delighted to host for you the upcoming italian talent https://soundcloud.com/antakaatweed. The producer & DJ based in Rome focuses on global weird and dark electronics. His sets provide odd, dark and trippy acid vibes with afrofuturism, cosmic disco, global bass, tropical house, psychedelic cumbia, weird downbeats and 360° worldwide music gems selections. A true versatile selector telling us stories about Black Africa, New Orleans or Marrakech alleys, Istanbul or Palermo Markets and about the endless paths that lead from Buenos Aires to the Colombian Pacific...
Taking in all the musical knowledge from his eclectic DJ experience, no doubt he started releasing his own productions on razor sharp imprints such as Afrobiotic, Hard Fist, Karakter and later this month Playground Records, labels to follow at all costs if you like dark synths, loud drums and sexy basslines spiced with folkloric elements or rock music gimmicks. This unique selector from Kyiv, Ukraine, is one of the minds behind the https://soundcloud.com/vibronica festival and just like her festival project she knows how to create a warm, colorful and psychedelic vibe for happy dancers. This mixtape is a good caption of her trancey and psydub influences, which mixed with organic and instrumental pieces give a unique piece of a progressive and changing swingy downtempo set. She is one to follow, as her selections are really unique, even more especially in Ukraine where the electronic scene is still developing and searching for its own signature sound.

Kult Tape #15 - SSDSS

This 2nd VA gathered by the reptilian mafia @reptilianbusinessrecords presents a darker side than the first compilation. You will get to hear some delicate sound design from Paris-based bass addict Machka, some deep and mellow brainfucking downtempo from Swiss duo Los Pashminas, and a big riddim from Toulouse-based bass music queen Jan Loup and her high detailed and overdriven footworking dubstep. Oceya turns the next page with a psychedelic soulful downtempo track, tingling your agmydala with her distorted vocoded voice, opening the path for heavy industrial breaks from our friend Mawen, sound engineer of our first release and talented producer based in Bordeaux. Danniel Dhnl follows with his classic gimmicks of "Tribal Guaracha" straight from México, then Nour Kara also from Toulouse, delivers a dark technoïd yet organic tribute to Iranian women fighting for freedom. To close the deal, Da Iguana & Doko Modo prepared some trancey downtempo rooted in earth but crossing the cosmos, Islyz a heavy drum & bass track with reptile skin-like textures, and our close friend Meo is the goodbye giver, with some forest-infused, muddy yet delicate "popperstep" made with his good old octatrack. This compilation is a powerful source of energy, a medicine for cold blooded people, and thus, had to be called Gator Aid.

PREMIERE: Danniel Dhnl - Kuxtal [Reptilian Business Records]

It is with great excitement we host https://soundcloud.com/barbarella_dd one of the minds behind multicultural downtempo label and party https://soundcloud.com/paukentrompeten. Her signature sound as a DJ & producer is a blend of afro, oriental & latin percussions and instruments with down to midtempo beats, heated up with more organic world music or swing & funk twists. Based in Dresden, you can hear her mixes at local GrooveStation, but also in the summer at some of the nicest german festivals such as Fusion or Wilde Möhre. Enjoy the ride!

Soundcloud connections are the best! Even though we never met https://soundcloud.com/jennyloco in real life, we feel we know her through her involvement in the digital scene and her carefully crafted and highly eclectic Dj sets. The Colombia-born, California-raised and San Francisco-based DJ has been digging music since the late 90s and recently decided to bring her extended sound knowledge to the light and record mixtapes ranging from lounge and chill atmospheres to sweaty club vibes. From electronic to more organic oriented music, she has a strong appetite for slow and dark beats with psychedelic twists, with her own vision of mixing and transiting from energy A to energy B. We now just hope she will keep on surprising more ears and brains like she did with us. Enjoy the ride!

We met the one and only https://soundcloud.com/kasbah-officiel in 2022, on two memorable occasions : Chateau Perché Festival in France and Ozora in Hungary. Nadir shook us deep down with his musical vision of blending traditional music and organic instruments with club music, supported by an extensive knowledge of music roots and history. Part of the successful french label Nowadays Records crew and curator of the now legendary "Musique de Fête" compilations, gathering the finest global clubbing musicians, he is an experienced traveller sharing his love for sound everywhere he goes, connecting and collaborating, in his holy search for the new wave of tribal and trance-inducing music. We are delighted to welcome back Rafael Aragon, whose music is at once powerful and delicate, and constantly evolving. His universe blends psychedelism with Afro-Latin, SWANA, and other traditions: Sufi chants, ritual drums, deep basslines, and electronic polyrhythms naturally coexist in his work.
This set was recorded during a Womb in Brussels, a moment dedicated to listening, letting go, and introspection. Between ambient and downtempo, the music unfolds gradually, creating a space where one can settle, be enveloped, and let each sound resonate within.

"When love dies and the brain overheats, what's left? 

Voices calling for rain, water, storms and animals. Sounds that crackle, tell stories. Memories and archives that tend to disappear but resist. Dreams of a world where Britney and Palestine would be free. And then care, cats, bass, and sweet words. Magic and lamentations to soothe our deads. An uncertain future where love remains.

For this DJ set, I asked my friends and family what sounds they find refuge in, and which heal them. I received some real gifts to listen to. I listened to some of them over and over again. I wanted to share them with the world, and to tell a little story through sound and music by forging links between music and field recordings. Searching for these sounds, their meanings and their stories, kept me going at a time when I needed it.

He is the co-founder of the multicolored label https://soundcloud.com/curuba-records, a laboratory of sounds, rhythms and psychotropic melodies. His personal experience brought him a warm and hypnotic vision of music. Ditti just released his first EP, in which organic sounds and ethereal synthesizers interact and blend in a slow and captivating dance. His musical universe stands out by a cosy atmosphere and a natural environment, for an invitation to an awaken dream, a magical journey.

EthnoKast#1 - Ditti's Journey

For this 6th EthnoKast, let us present https://soundcloud.com/shimon-earthly, a young French producer, who creates special blends of Ethnic & Minimal downtempo beats inspired by ancestral and traditional sounds with a touch of minimal. 

His first release came out with https://soundcloud.com/casacaos, a piece from his live project with https://soundcloud.com/oumk, a sitar player. A second track was shortly after released with https://soundcloud.com/echoesfromvenus. By 2018, three Ep’s were forecasted, in collaboration with https://soundcloud.com/mommusic, https://soundcloud.com/holedcoin, https://soundcloud.com/luka-fr and https://soundcloud.com/biralomusic (also part of our friends' crew https://soundcloud.com/curuba-records).

He has recently been invited to rising ethnic electronic music events, such as https://soundcloud.com/thegardensofbabylon, in Amsterdam, https://soundcloud.com/hordeparis, in Paris and Maxa Camp in Tulum. After a small tour in Tulum, he is now back in Europe, many gigs  planned for the coming months in Germany, Switzerland, Netherlands and France.

For our 17th EthnoKast, we had the honor to host Rafael Aragon aka https://soundcloud.com/rafiralfiro. Citizen of the world, now based in Brussels, Rafael was born and raised in Paris and its suburbs, embodying the cosmopolitan vision of the French capital city. Passionate about music in its entirety since a very young age, he develops a great interest for the musical folklores of the the world, their particularities and their universality. His musical vision can be summed up in 2 words: Eclecticism and Curiosity.

Rafael's music is made for a club environment and loaded with bass, while being delicate, maximalist and highly psychedelic. Extremely positive, he aims to "celebrate the beauty of life." Expect the unexpected, when he plays, every trip is possible, from powerful digital cumbia to soft Andean beats, taking you through Middle East's tribes, stopping by Al Andalus with flamenco-powered house music, or calling Malian ancestors to sing and play on heavy techno kicks... Unplanned, surprising, and adapting to the crowd's mood, this musician will always make you discover something new from a part of the world you have never heard of before.

EthnoKast#17 - Les Dissonances Correctives De Rafael Aragon

We are so glad to present you the great https://soundcloud.com/mauglimau as our 18th EthnoKaster! Born in Italy, grown up in south Germany, and based in Berlin since 2014, MAUGLI is a multicultural electronic music artist, who melts down vibrant sounds and driving rhythms from all over the globe.

With a background as a drummer, bassist and in production of various styles (instrumental hip hop, rap, electronic), his genre-bending music merges sampling and recording into a lively collage, with an electronic yet organic feel to it. Same is carried out in his DJ sets, where colorful pulsing influences bring people together and keep them moving while travelling the (musical) world.

Nicolas, aka https://soundcloud.com/nigano, is a DJ and a stage & experience designer from Sherbrooke, Québec, co-founder with https://soundcloud.com/risa-dj of the https://soundcloud.com/bembalicious collective, and part of the https://soundcloud.com/cosmovisionrecords family.

After traveling to festivals like Burning Man and Symbiosis in the US, or the far away Festival Nomade in Chile, he decided to take back home the concept of transformational events. This is when the Bemba collective was born. ​Their vision: to promote conscious celebration during events in which he would create stimulus for all 5 (6?) senses.

When it comes to DJing, Nigan sees it as an exploratory adventure, crafting musical journeys to make listeners travel around the world and into their own mind void. Slow, psychedelic, deep, groovy and folkloric, the music he carefully selects aims to make you trip, dance and chill.
