this was a quick play-around with the new make noise FXDf module, a filter bank that splits an incoming signal into 6 individual frequency bands with individual outputs. (very cool!)

what i've done here is take one of the 2015 diary recordings (from january, now i forgot which one) and played it back from a music thing Radio Music module into the FXDf. i then used 5 individual band outputs to process various frequency ranges of the sample with different techniques.

for example., just the high frequencies of the sample go through a spring reverb. a couple of the mid frequency bands go through different filters, another band goes into mutable's Clouds module.

it would have been cool to send each frequency band into different loopers.. i think i may try that next.

oh, the whole recording, after i made it, was pitched down.

DIMITAR DODOVSKI, born in Bitola, Macedonia on 3 November  1980 has been part of the Macedonian music scene since the early 00’s with his productions as well as live and dj appearances. His sound revolves around deep and beat oriented textures, with variations in minimal dub, dubtech, techno and house, with a number of experimental influences that make his original signature. Recently he has been more interested in listening and producing ambient music solo, as Moss Garden (w/ Lee Anthony Norris) and as Post Global Trio (w/ Toni Dimitrov, Martin Georgievski) releasing several critically acclaimed albums on labels like Databloem, Carpe Sonum Records, Unknown Tone Records.
